Friday’s Feast #22

Questions, Shopping

It seems like Friday’s Feast hasn’t been updated since July 11th but I’m going to do it anyway since I haven’t done it for a while.

Appetizer
When was the last time you had your hair cut/trimmed?
…June… and my hair has barely grown since.

Soup
Name one thing you miss about being a child.
Being carefree and biking around the neighbor and stealing the neighbors’ cats… while they were watching us from their windows.

Salad
Pick one: butter, margarine, olive oil.
It depends what I’m using it for. For example, when I cook eggs for breakfast, I still prefer margarine or vegetable oil… I actually HATE the taste of olives so unless the food totally hides the taste of it, I won’t use it.

Main Course
If you could learn another language, which one would you pick, and why?
I need to learn Vietnamese because boyfriend’s family keeps on pushing me to learn but I swear I’m a hopeless case. Of these 5 years I’ve known Boyfriend, all I know how to say is “go home”, “eat dinner”, “noodles”, and “pussy-face”.

Dessert
Finish this sentence: In 5 years I expect to be…
…sitting in front of my Mac and filling another one of these things out. Seriously, I don’t know anymore what I’ll be doing in 5 years. Interests are changing… maybe I’ll be a hair stylist, a student (again) or a stay-at-home housewife while Boyfriend is making his millions (hah I wish).

Anyway, I went to the mall during lunch today to try on some UGG Cardy’s so I can buy them online and ended up with a bunch of golf balls for Boyfriend, a black cardigan, a dress, Osis Dust It (recommended by L*) and Twilight by Stephenie Meyer (finally)! I didn’t buy the rest of the books in the series though just in case I don’t like it… which I highly doubt. This was my first time walking out of Chapters with less than 5 new books… t’was a very sad day indeed.

And boot season is coming!!! I need a pair of brown leather flats, gray suede, knee-high flats (like Serena pictured below), black boots with a kitten heel (or <1 inch heel) like the one I purchased last winter which is totally getting worn out because I use to wear them everyday. The good thing about being “tall” is that I don’t have to worry about killing myself in 4 inch heels.

I’ll finally be going home tonight so maybe I’ll update CollectiveHaus and my version of Wordpress on this blog. I’ve been too lazy to drive the 20 minutes home from work this week that I’ve been staying at Boyfriend’s which is a 3 minute drive away.

Friday’s Feast #21

Questions

Appetizer
When you drink soda/pop/coke, do you prefer to drink it from the bottle, a can, or after pouring it into a cup?
I drink out of a can with a straw because I’m too lazy to wash cups. The only exception is that when it’s warm so I’d pour it in a cup with exactly two ice cubes and a straw.

Soup
What television show are you willing to stay up late to watch?
I LOVE LUCY! Well I don’t see it on TV anymore, but it doesn’t matter because I have the complete DVD set. If you don’t know Lucy, you’re totally missing out.

Salad
Name one person, place, or thing you think of as brilliant.
Whoever created keyboard shortcuts. I had to work for a day without short cuts in Photoshop and Illustrator (because the program was effed up) and I almost died/I wanted to die. I swear, it took me like half an hour to create a simple shape because I’m so dependent on them.

Main Course
Would you be willing to work 4 10-hour days instead of 5 8-hour days in order to save gas?
This topic has been popping up a lot lately and of course, I’d be glad to work four 10-hour days than five days a week. You’re already at work so why not stay there? Two more hours isn’t going to do anything but make my arse flatter while sitting in front of a computer— besides my job isn’t physically tiring. My commute to work is only 20 minutes each way, but I still find that long and annoying so I’d rather do that as less as possible. Although, I guess if you work in retail or a [fast food] restaurant, then you’d probably choose the latter because time passes by soo slowly in those jobs.

Dessert
If you were a superhero, what would you call yourself?
Last week at work, we had a group activity where we had to create a concept for a new video game and ours was about super heroes. In our demonstration, I was one and because of my red hair, they called me “Phoenix” which no one confirmed with me, so my paper cape had a giant “K” on the back of it. But anyway, I STILL DON’T’ KNOW WHO THE HELL PHOENIX IS!! Back to the topic, a name is too important to pick just like that, but all I know is that my super power will be invisibility. I wouldn’t be Phoenix either because that sounds too cliché.

Friday’s Feast #20

Appetizer
What was your favorite cartoon when you were a child?
I don’t remember many cartoons except for Sailor Moon and Inspector Gadget. I loved Mr. Dress-Up though… it always came on after Sesame Street.

Soup
Pretend you are about to get a new pet. Which animal would you pick, and what would you name it?
Obviously I’d pick a horse and name her Misty (after Misty of Chincoteague by Marguerite Henry which was my favorite book when I was little).

Salad
On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being highest, how much do you enjoy getting all dressed up for a special occasion?
10!!! I’m usually too lazy to dress up otherwise and I’m usually at work anyway… there’s no point making an effort there especially when I’m sitting in front of a desk all day and whose there to dress up for? Boyfriend doesn’t work with me (but not like I dress up for him anyway unless wearing his clothes counts. Hah).

Main Course
What kind of music do you listen to while you drive?
I listen to news stations for traffic and news updates (which is a lot more useful and more interesting than listening to music). Music stations especially The Beat is most annoying thing ever in Vancouver… I don’t understand how anybody can listen to that crap and the annoying DJs!! It’s almost a disgrace to our city (along with our over-population of annoying “gangster-kids”). The only time I might listen to music is at night when driving to Boyfriend’s house; music on my iPod includes oldies, R&B, country, hip hop and Spice Girls! Lol. Well basically anything except for annoying emo music.

Dessert
When was the last time you bought a clock? And in which room did you put it?
I got a new digital clock after renovating my room except it’s so damn bright that I get really annoyed at night unless I wear my sleep mask. Speaking about sleep masks, once you get a one, I swear you won’t ever be able to sleep without it again!

Invent a new flower; give it a name and describe it.
Fleur de Katru…. ahahahaha. I only thought of that because I was going to wear my R&R Roths with the Fleur de Lis on the back pocket today. Shut up I’m too lazy to do any thinking at the moment.

Soup
Name someone whom you think has a wonderful voice.
It depends what you mean by “wonderful.” I like kids voices because they are so cute!

Salad
On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being highest, how clean do you keep your car?
I don’t own my own car and drive my parents or my boyfriend’s or his family’s… but I would say 8. I tend to leave a billion empty water bottles all over the place. That’s about it though.

Main Course
How do you feel about poetry?
It’s nice.. I’ve been meaning to get a poetry blog up for the last year but I’ve been soo lazy.

What was the last person/place/thing you took a picture of?
Probably at Nat’s birthday of someone stumbling around like an idiot!

Appetizer
Given the choice, would you prefer to live in the country or in the city?
I don’t know… if you asked me last year, I wouldn’t told you the city but lately I’ve been wanting to move somewhere in the country far away from everything else and live on a ranch with lots of horses and rolling fields and riding trails. It would be awesome if there was a beach nearby too.

Soup
Who is the cutest kid you know?
My boyfriend’s sister-in-law’s sister’s baby girl because she has the cutest cheeks in the world!

Umm.. when I read that ANNE RICE CAME TO MY SITE!!! LOL no I’m still not totally over it yet because that’s the coolest thing that’s happened to me. *dorky laugh

Mac or Benefit… so maybe I can get some free make up. Muhehe.

What type(s) of vitamins and/or supplements do you take on a regular basis
Flaxseed Oil Capsules (yuck!) for my eyes. Sometimes I take Spectrum Gold pills as well but I’m soo bad at remembering to take pills so I haven’t been taking any lately.
