Things I Love

  • Sheer Tights – It maybe too cold for tights but who cares?
  • Baby Doll by YSL
  • Chocolate Cupcake Lotion by Dylan’s Candy Bar – Smells soooo good. I feel like a walking chocolate cupcake.
  • Oakley A-Frames – I need new goggles and of course, Oakley’s are the sexiest goggles on the planet. PS. Buy them in the states if you live in Canada!!
  • 3rd Generation iPod Touch – Upgraded my 2nd gen to this one… the screen is a lot clearer, there are speakers, I have more space and although it still occasionally freezes but I love it. My Blackberry is my soulmate (shhh, don’t tell Boyfriend) but I can’t wait for Apple to come out with an iPhone that has a damn qwerty KEYBOARD!! I’d ditch my BB right away (I’m sorry but Blackberry’s interface is hella ugly and they have retarded browsers).

A funny comment from the Crackberry forums:

I like using BBM because you have an understanding with the other person that you’re both on a BB, and type equally as fast…

  • Smashbox Photo Finish Bronzing Primer – I switched to this after running out of my last bottle of their regular primer and I’m soo glad I did.
  • Persimmons – My favorite fruit at the moment. Nomnomnom.

  • Starbuck’s Orange Mango Banana Vivanno. It comes in grande but the guy gave me a venti yesterday!
  • Soondubu Jjigae. One of my FAVORITE Korean dishes which is basically a spicy stew of tofu, seafood, veggies and lots of chilli powder . Wanna learn how to make it? Check out episode 6 PAM CAN COOK. SOO GOOD.

  • Vietnamese Egg Soda. Am I the only one who LOVES this? It’s club soda + condensed milk + 1 EGG YOLK. Would you drink it?
  • Chinese Desserts. Black sesame soup, red bean coconut jelly, sago soup with coconut milk, silken tofu in ginger syrup, shaved ice and the list goes on… and on.

    Silken Tofu in Ginger Syrup

  • Getting my nails did. It’s hella inconvenient (and LOUD when I’m banging away at my keyboard at work) but I’m a girly-girl after all. I’m going to TJ Nails in a couple weeks… what should I get?

  • Health! Lately, I’ve been obsessed with getting healthy, working out and nutrition. I won’t cut my favorite foods (ever) but I’m eating it in moderation and eating more foods with higher nutritional value. Being and feeling healthy is an awesome feeling!
  • Water. It seems like all I drink nowadays is water (and coffee). I took a sip of apple juice this morning and the sweetness almost killed me. What the fuck happened to you, my dear taste buds? I’m not complaining but still. ;)
  • Hot Pot Hot Pot. All hail cold weather… the time for hot pot is arriving!! Well, we do it in the summer anyway but it’s funner and cozier doing it in the winter. The only downside of it is the clean up but thank god for all the all-you-can-eat hot pot restaurants in Richmond.
  • World Without End (Ken Follett). I finally got around to reading this book (sequel to The Pillars of the Earth) and can’t believe it’s over! I hope Follett continues the Kingsbridge legacy. Five stars. Has anyone read any of his other books? Are they good?
  • Soju. Best drink ever… after Grey Goose shots and Chi-Chi’s.

  • Twitter. Please don’t ever leave us again.
  • F.T. Island. They are one of my new favorite groups and they’re not your typical idol group (even though they only look like a group of pretty boys) because they play their own instruments. Dun dun dun. And I’m totally in love with their music which is a mix of “ballad pop rock…insert a k somewhere in there too” (via @thematteo). Sigh.

  • Cellinique. After reading Eki’s review on the products, I was impressed with the results so I went and purchased a lot of their products and this stuff works!! Honestly, I never gave a shit about my skin before but now I’m going to start taking care of it. Pam suggested me to “do how to Koreans do!!” so that’s next on my list. ;)
  • F.T. Island L.A. Chicken. It’s a small chicken joint on No.5 and Cambie in Richmond and it’s the best fried chicken ever!! It brings KFC, Church’s and all those other franchises to shame. The place looks like shit BUT the chicken IS the shit and the couple who owns it usually throws in a free piece of two when we order. I wonder why we never went there in high school because it was literally across the street.
  • Stephen Chow. I was reading Amanda’s entry which brought back fond memories of laughing my ass off through my childhood to Stephen Chow’s movies. If you’re Chinese you probably grew up with him too and he IS a genius in the Hong Kong movie industry… I get cramps watching his movies because they’re soo funny. I just saw a picture of him and wow he’s so old now! :(

  • Eyeliner. I LOVE EYELINER! Mac Fluidline in Blacktrack is the way to go. A lot of people say black is too much for an everyday look but who cares what they think?
  • Gadgets. I’m not one of those girls who wants all my gadgets in one so I always have to have these three on me at all times: my camera to capture those moments, my beloved Blackberry because my fingers can’t stop texting and my iPod Touch to get my dose of K-Pop whenever possible and to tune Boyfriend out when he starts talking about Mafia Wars on Facebook.
    Gadgets

I want to get a new BB but I can't find skins for the new curve. =(

  • Studs. Everything about them is sexy and edgy.

    Stud Overload!!

Okay, maybe that's a little too much studs all at once but you know what I mean.

  • Strawberry Milk Tea Strawberry Milk Tea. I’m Asian and all Asians love milk tea. Wait, Boyfriend could argue to that but whatever because he’s obviously not Asian enough.
  • Asian Variety Shows. I get stomach pains and bruises every time I watch them because I always end up rolling on the ground laughing my ass off (after falling off the couch and hitting my head on the table). They make North American game shows look so boring.

What makes these shows so good? They do a lot of pointless but freaking hilarious challenges and some of them are just plain outrageous. Who Wants to Be A Millionaire? Deal or No Deal? The Price is Right? Zzzzzzzz. INFINITE CHALLENGE! LOVE LETTER! SUPER TRIO! WE GOT MARRIED! YAY! Plus they all have funny names. Maybe it’s just an Asian thing or I’m weird because I think pointless humor is the best. :P
