Sorry, I have a bad habit of procrastinating, but I will finally announce the winner of my last contest…

…who won a copy of The Host by Stephenie Meyer. I’m pretty sure she was my very first subscriber too so she deserved to win!

As for the second part of my contest, there weren’t enough participants so I won’t be giving out the prize (my fault for not promoting it enough). Props to J* though for entering.

For my next contest, I will either be giving away graphic design books, The Twilight Series (Stephenie Meyers) or Phillipa Gregory books so stay tuned!!

If you’re unregistered, I know the blog looks screwed up (links not showing up, multiple posts, etc)… unless you’re logged in then everything is fine. I’ll get right on it… tomorrow (the computer I’m on is sooo slow). :tired:

I didn’t get the .me domain that I wanted because of GoDaddy’s problem with their server and stuff (boo!) but oh well, I’ve always wanted a domain with “haus” in it just because it sounds so cool, sophisticated and artsy. LMAO.

Don’t be scared if your room is messy and isn’t “pretty” or whatever because I’m looking for rooms with personalities as well!!

I’ll be adding a couple new images per day depending on how many images I get.

I’ve also added a post ratings system but ratings are kept private so only I can see them. I’m not sure what I’m going to do with them at the moment but I might use them to give out prizes in the future (both for people who rate and those with images posted on the website). The only catch is that you have to register to rate images. My goal is to make this site pretty interactive.

What do you guys think about getting your images rated? Would it stop you from submitting (although there is an option to remain anonymous)?

The site may still be buggy, but I’m still working on it.

Hi everyone! Yesterday I was sitting around and this awesome idea popped into my head (well it was awesome to me so be quiet). I’m going to start a new collective of people’s bedrooms/houses/work areas/personal & creative spaces in blog format.

Why? Because I’m noisy and like to see how other people organize/decorate their rooms (so perhaps I can steal their wonderfully creative ideas). Kidding.

Edit – I’ll probably start this after the 17th so I can register a .me domain name.

Here’s what I’m gonna do:

• purchase a new domain
• get people to submit photographs to me
• post it up for everyone to see

So if you’re interested please send me the following:

• Name, contact info (email, URL)
• preferable high-res photographs of your personal space (as many as you want but I can’t guarantee that ALL of them will be posted)
• if you would like your name and/or URL posted along with pictures / or remain anonymous
• optional: a short write-up of whatever you want (why you decorated your room that way, how does it connect with your personality, etc.). I’m not even sure if this will be used yet but it was an awesome suggestion from Kati.

Here are some space ideas:

• your room (if you live at home and don’t want to show the rest of your parent’s house)
• multiple rooms of your home
• your closet (calling all fashionistas!)
• your desk/work space (some people like to show off their sexy Mac desktops, ya know)
• your make up area/collection
• your bookshelf/library/study (bookworms like me?)
• your washroom (as long as there’s nothing floating in the toilet please)
• anywhere in your home you want to show-off for some reason or another

I just thought of this yesterday so nothing is set in stone yet and am totally open to suggestions. I haven’t thought of a name for the collective either, so if you have any, fire them my way!

I’ve sent out a couple mass emails already and the response has been amazing so t thank you everyone whose responded with positive feedback. I’m also giving out free gifts to the 25^th and 50^th submissions (that is IF I get that many). I’m also thinking of holding contests with prizes if this kicks off successfully.
