My HG Make Up Products

I only put on a full face of make up once or twice a week (work days only consist of eyeliner, brows and lip gloss… or nothing at all) but here are products I LOVE and can’t live without…

Friday’s Feast #22

It seems like Friday’s Feast hasn’t been updated since July 11th but I’m going to do it anyway since I haven’t done it for a while.

friday's feast

Appetizer
When was the last time you had your hair cut/trimmed?
June, and my hair has barely grown since.

Soup
Name one thing you miss about being a child.
Being carefree and biking around the neighbor and stealing the neighbors’ cats… while they were watching us from their windows.

Salad
Pick one: butter, margarine, olive oil.
It depends what I’m using it for. For example, when I cook eggs for breakfast, I still prefer margarine or vegetable oil… I actually HATE the taste of olives so unless the food totally hides the taste of it, I won’t use it.

Main Course
If you could learn another language, which one would you pick, and why?
I need to learn Vietnamese because boyfriend’s family keeps on pushing me to learn but I swear I’m a hopeless case. Of these 5 years I’ve known Boyfriend, all I know how to say is “go home“, “eat dinner“, “noodles“, and “pussy-face“.

Dessert
Finish this sentence: In 5 years I expect to be
…sitting in front of my Mac and filling another one of these things out. Seriously, I don’t know anymore what I’ll be doing in 5 years. Interests are changing… maybe I’ll be a hair stylist, a student (again) or a stay-at-home housewife while Boyfriend is making his millions (hah I wish).

Twilight by Stephenie Meyer Anyway, I went to the mall during lunch today to try on some UGG Cardy’s so I can buy them online and ended up with a bunch of golf balls for Boyfriend, a black cardigan, a dress, Osis Dust It (recommended by L*) and Twilight by Stephenie Meyer (finally)! I didn’t buy the rest of the books in the series though just in case I don’t like it… which I highly doubt. This was my first time walking out of Chapters with less than 5 new books… t’was a very sad day indeed. :(

And boot season is coming!!! I need a pair of brown leather flats, gray suede, knee-high flats (like Serena pictured below), black boots with a kitten heel (or <1 inch heel) like the one I purchased last winter which is totally getting worn out because I use to wear them everyday. The good thing about being “tall” is that I don’t have to worry about killing myself in 4 inch heels.

Serena Vanderhousen & Black Boot

I’ll finally be going home tonight so maybe I’ll update CollectiveHaus and my version of WordPress on this blog. I’ve been too lazy to drive the 20 minutes home from work this week that I’ve been staying at Boyfriend’s which is a 3 minute drive away.

Long Weekend in Review

Beach

  • Was all the planning-stress worth it? I guess so.
  • Do it again next year? After 3 years of it, NO. We’re getting a travel agent next time.
  • Like always, unfair share of housework.
  • But hot tub and sun made up for it (although it sounds a bit ironic together).
  • Beach: Saturday was hot and sunny. Sunday was a lot more windy so we chilled on the patio instead.
  • Went horseback-riding along the beach. Loved it.
  • Purchased and finished The Other Boleyn Girl (since I was so obsessed with the movie)! Five stars.
  • Lots of eating and breaking of diets (you cannot escape the food and candy!!).
  • Lots of shopping (although this wasn’t suppose to be a shopping trip). Totally successful.
  • Lots and lots of gossiping.
  • Hilarious car rides.
  • Favorite purchase was a Marilyn Monroe wall clock.
  • Found lots of nice jeans. ♥
  • Got stuck in rush hour traffic to the Coast AND back home (we obviously don’t learn).
  • Got home really late and still haven’t finished unpacking yet.
  • Don’t have to go back to work until Friday! :cheer:

Today’s Quick Buys (& Arrivals)

Just this morning before starting work, I was swirling around in my chair thinking how proud I was of myself for not shopping for a whole 5 days then TONIGHT came.

Beauty Buys

Koji Eyetalk Eyelid glue is for us girls with NO EYELIDS. Yes, I’m vain but what are you gonna do about it? :P I’ve looked around everywhere for Koji Eyetalk locally but never found it and wasted $20 on this crappy brand but I finally decided to buy Koji online (don’t ask me why I didn’t do that in the first place) so I hope it works for me since stuff that works for everybody else usually never works for me. :snooty: And of course, Epicare. At least I only got 2 things and the total for both only came to about $20.

My MAC pigment samples finally arrived! I was never really into pigments because I’ve always thought of them as messy and too much work (since I’m sooooooo lazy) but I recently got into them and BOY AM I GLAD. I guess you really can’t go wrong with $1.50 pigment samples but I’m driving myself into hell because I think I’ll be spending A LOT on fullsized pigments in the future. :S It’s such a waste because I only wear make up on weekends (I just don’t see the point in getting all prettied up for work)!!! I can’t help it though! Ah!

The pigments include: Fuchsia, Golden Lemon, Lovely Lily, Melon, Mutiny, Nocturnal Plum, Pink Bronze, Teal, Steel Blue, Vanilla, Violet, 3D Silver, Blue, Golden Olive, Emerald Green, Pink Pearl, Chartreuse, Cornflower, Deep Blue Green and Gray Glitter which was included as a gift.
