Make-Up Talk

Does your Internet persona differ much from you in real life? Why or why not?

I would say yes and no. I would say I’m quiet in real life half of the time whereas on the internet I seem to talk way too much because I blog too much but that’s what writing is for. I prefer writing over talking anytime. My thoughts, attitude and morals online and offline are all the same though.

Anyway, how much make up is too much for everyday wear?

For myself, I think putting on a full face everyday is too much. I hate wearing foundation and concealer (basically having something all over my face) even though I have fugly uneven skin tone so I usually only do a full face like once or twice a week or something when I go out. Blush is great for a natural glow as long as it’s applied right and doesn’t look weird and streaky. My essentials are lipgloss and eyeliner (and of course, brows). I love love LOVE eye shadows, experimenting and blending colors so I use them most of the time when I’m not feeling lazy. Mascara? Eh. Sometimes. I’ve given up on my short and stick straight Asian lashes. Also, glasses + fake lashes don’t go too well together since I hate wearing my contacts too. It’s funny because I have over 50 sets of fake lashes that I barely use.

Eye Shadows

Whorish, unnatural, extremely dramatic make up everyday is not okay either! And foundations that don’t match your skin tone, bronzer that is too dark/oranage, streaky blush, extremely bright lipsticks, bright eyeshadow that itsn’t blended well… I think we’ve all been guilty of that once, but still, ew.

I hate seeing girls wear red lipstick when it looks horrible with their skin tone, although I’m jealous of girls who can pull it off because red is such a sexy and elegant color. Also if your face shape isn’t right, I think it just looks all wrong. I think only a handful of girls can pull this off and not too many of them are Asians. I can only seem to get away with light pinks, browns and nudes; nothing dark… but it’s okay I love those colors anyway.

BUT if you are a make up freak and love to do a full face everyday, then who cares what other people think. If it makes you feel better about yourself and look better then by all means use it since that’s what make up is for anyway. Those people who are like “omg that girl is wearing way too much make up” is probably just jealous, plus not everyone is blessed with natural beauty! I admit I use to do that, but I try not to be as judgemental anymore.

I also hate girls who complain about people getting cosmetic surgery when they use make up themselves. One is more extreme than the other but they both have the same concept; they’re all just trying to make themselves look/feel better, hypocrites.

*Oh no’z… it’s the “3″ again.
