What’s in My Purse?

I just finished dying my extensions to match my hair color and is just waiting for the color to set so I though I’d steal Rina‘s idea of what’s in her purse.

In My Purse

1. Make up bag
2. Random eye palette (depends what eye shadow I’m wearing that day, if any)
3. Random lipglosses, make up brushes, mascara, eye lash curler, etc. I don’t use a lot of this most days but I always have them in my purse anyway
4. UDPP! ♥
5. Mineral Foundation + Kabuki brush
6. Bronzer
7. CG Trublend Translucent Press Powder
8. Eyeliner + brow pencil = must-haves
9. Extra hair-ties
10. Wallet
11. Hand cream
12. Coin Purse
13. Eye drops + hand sanitizer
14. Pills! (Vitamins, Flaxseed Oil Capsules, anti-PMS pills (!!), Reactin)
15. Work pass
16. Blackberry
17. Camera
18. Book (that’s why I have to have big bags!)
19. Nintendo DS (mostly for BF when he gets bored… LOL)
20. USB Pen

Forgot to photograph: packet of tissue, cutips (very handy in case of make up emergencies), water bottle and my Dentyne Ice Intense. Us girls get a good workout carrying all that shit around everyday.

Guess whose back?

… the Backstreet Boys! Ahahahahahaha. Anyway.

J tagged me. Since I don’t do tags, I’ll automatically tag the first 5 people who comment [if they do], skipping the people who have already done this. :D

1. What was I doing 10 years ago?
Obsessing over the Backstreet Boys. N and I are currently devising our plan on how to get awesome tickets to the BSB concert on 09/04 in Vancouver. Of course, being a member of the fan club (LMAO), we get access to presale tickets but of course, I’m upright so we always have to have a Plan B. And we’re also contemplating whether to waste our money and upgrade to VIP. I may get embarrassed when I act like a drunken idiot but I will never be embarrassed to admitting to the world that I’m STILL a BSB fan!! Woot! I was talking to R today and she was like… what the hell is KTBPA?! And I was thinking in my head… she was probably at Hanson fan back then. Ahahhahaha. Kidding R, I love you!

2. What are 5 things on my to-do list today?
NO TO-DO LIST TODAY! Boy am I happy and relaxed before I have to start pulling late-nights again tomorrow. I have to admit though, I’m a little bored.

3. Snacks I enjoy:
Watermelon, cheese and crackers, Girl Guide cookies, jello, Goldfish crackers, breaded zucchini sticks .. and um, leftover dim sum. I can go on and on. Like N said today, it doesn’t take much to impress us when it comes to food.

4. Places I’ve lived:
Middle-of-nowhere (Regina, Saskatchewan), Vancouver, Richmond.

5. Things I’d do if I were a billionaire:
You mean gazillionare? Buy a ranch, raise horses and live like a cowboygirl. And buy a castle in Europe and live like a Marie Antoinette. And buy a house in New Orleans’ French Quarter and live like Stella Mayfair. And buy a penthouse in Manhattan and live like Blair Waldorf. I’ll find time to fly around to all those places in my private jet.

6. People I want to know more about:
Various historical figures (wouldn’t it be awesome if we can meet them in person?).

When you drink soda/pop/coke, do you prefer to drink it from the bottle, a can, or after pouring it into a cup?
I drink out of a can with a straw because I’m too lazy to wash cups. The only exception is that when it’s warm so I’d pour it in a cup with exactly two ice cubes and a straw.

Soup
What television show are you willing to stay up late to watch?
I LOVE LUCY! Well I don’t see it on TV anymore, but it doesn’t matter because I have the complete DVD set. If you don’t know Lucy, you’re totally missing out.

Salad
Name one person, place, or thing you think of as brilliant.
Whoever created keyboard shortcuts. I had to work for a day without short cuts in Photoshop and Illustrator (because the program was effed up) and I almost died/I wanted to die. I swear, it took me like half an hour to create a simple shape because I’m so dependent on them.

Main Course
Would you be willing to work 4 10-hour days instead of 5 8-hour days in order to save gas?
This topic has been popping up a lot lately and of course, I’d be glad to work four 10-hour days than five days a week. You’re already at work so why not stay there? Two more hours isn’t going to do anything but make my arse flatter while sitting in front of a computer— besides my job isn’t physically tiring. My commute to work is only 20 minutes each way, but I still find that long and annoying so I’d rather do that as less as possible. Although, I guess if you work in retail or a [fast food] restaurant, then you’d probably choose the latter because time passes by soo slowly in those jobs.

Dessert
If you were a superhero, what would you call yourself?
Last week at work, we had a group activity where we had to create a concept for a new video game and ours was about super heroes. In our demonstration, I was one and because of my red hair, they called me “Phoenix” which no one confirmed with me, so my paper cape had a giant “K” on the back of it. But anyway, I STILL DON’T’ KNOW WHO THE HELL PHOENIX IS!! Back to the topic, a name is too important to pick just like that, but all I know is that my super power will be invisibility.

Make Up Survey

My Foundation:
Of course, primer goes on before foundation; I use Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer. My foundation of choice is Lumiere Mineral Foundation but on days that I feel like using liquid foundation, it will be Lancome Color Ideal.

My Mascara:
Lancome L’Extreme is the only mascara that works for me. It’s pricey at $32 a tube but it’s worth it and besides, I don’t use it often. In fact, I usually either don’t wear it or I forget to put on mascara most of the time and on nights when I go out, I wear false lashes). I just like having mascara as a back up because I know it’s there. I’ve given up on my short, stick-straight Asian lashes.

My Blush:
Why spend a billion dollars on department store blush when it’s the one drugstore product that works better? I’ve only tried Mac, Dior, Lancome and Estee Lauder blushes but I always prefer my Annabelle blushes way more. Plus they are like $20 cheapers. Bronzers are a different story though.

My Eye Shadow:
I’m a total Mac whore when it comes to eye shadows! I have a bunch from other brands as well but I barely use them.

My Day Cream:
Dove Energy Glow and Dove Day Cream.

My Lipstick:
My favorite lipstick is Sandy B by Mac but other than that I prefer lipgloss. My favorite l/g is the sadly discontinued Mac’s Chromeglass in Show Coral ♥ ♥ ♥. I’m almost done my last tube so I have to find a look-a-like. Any suggestions?

My Beauty Product Brand:
Um, can I say the entire Sephora store? Just kidding. I’ll have to say Mac because I love everything from there EXCEPT their skin products which makes me break out… and maybe their mascaras because they don’t work on short Asian lashes (damnit).

My Essential Beauty Product:
Primers primers primers! Urban Decay Potion Primer and Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer.

My Favorite Makeup Product:
Eyeshadows. I just can’t get enough.

My Perfume:
My current obsession is Escada’s Pacific Paradise.

My Nails:
I like to get my nails done occasionally but I try not to too much because I HATE the phase after I take them off because I have to wear bandaids on each finger since my nails are so weak. It’s so hard though because I get my nails done for free. Teeheehee. Otherwise, I’m usually wearing OPI black or white nail polish.

My Feet & My Hands:
H2O products.

Three Products to bring on a deserted island:
Hair conditioner, a razor and lipbalm deodorant just to be pratical. If I was really shallow, I’d bring my foundation, eye shadows and my brushes so that my make up can melt on my face under the presumably hot weather.

Woman I admire for beauty:
Halle Berry, Gisele Bundchen, also Natalie Mejia and Chrystina Sayers from Girlicious! No matter how embarrassing their group name is and how no talent they really have, they are freaking hot!

Woman with the Best Sense of Style:
Kat Von D, Nicole Richie, Audrey Hepburn, Victoria Beckham.

My Ultimate Dream:
To have a successful home business (Freelancing? Blogging? Selling Shit? Buying Shit?) and be a richass mofo… and then eventually retiring somewhere in Egypt with a stable and lots of horses. Maybe I’ll become the next Perez Hilton except instead of celebrity gossip, I’ll be blogging about Crest White Strips. Haha just kidding.

How Do I Define Womanhood:
Should I define it the shallow way? HAVING CURVES! Otherwise Womanhood is being strong and independent and not a clingy, dependant bitch. Sorry I didn’t bother to be nice.

My Favorite Fashion Publication(s):
I don’t even have time to read anymore (total :bawl: ) so when I do, there is no way in hell I’m reading magazines… I’ll be reading books. Duh! But seriously, although I don’t actually read magazines that much, when I do, I read design magazines like Computer Arts and HOW. Okay, well I admit do occasionally pick up my copy of Vogue a couple times a year but that’s about it. I love fashion and everything girly but design is my real passion.

What was your favorite cartoon when you were a child?
I don’t remember many cartoons except for Sailor Moon and Inspector Gadget. I loved Mr. Dress-Up though… it always came on after Sesame Street. :P

Soup
Pretend you are about to get a new pet. Which animal would you pick, and what would you name it?
Obviously I’d pick a horse and name her Misty (after Misty of Chincoteague by Marguerite Henry which was my favorite book when I was little).

Salad
On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being highest, how much do you enjoy getting all dressed up for a special occasion?
10!!! I’m usually too lazy to dress up otherwise and I’m usually at work anyway… there’s no point making an effort there especially when I’m sitting in front of a desk all day and whose there to dress up for? Boyfriend doesn’t work with me (but not like I dress up for him anyway unless wearing his clothes counts. Hah).

Main Course
What kind of music do you listen to while you drive?
I listen to news stations for traffic and news updates (which is a lot more useful and more interesting than listening to music). Music stations especially The Beat is most annoying thing ever in Vancouver… I don’t understand how anybody can listen to that crap and the annoying DJs!! It’s almost a disgrace to our city (along with our over-population of annoying “gangster-kids”). The only time I might listen to music is at night when driving to Boyfriend’s house; music on my iPod includes oldies, R&B, country, hip hop and Spice Girls! Lol. Well basically anything except for annoying emo music.

Dessert
When was the last time you bought a clock? And in which room did you put it?
I got a new digital clock after renovating my room except it’s so damn bright that I get really annoyed at night unless I wear my sleep mask. Speaking about sleep masks, once you get a one, I swear you won’t ever be able to sleep without it again!
