Can’t think of anything specific but I’m not a huge fan of spicy foods … boyfriend threw a pepper into my rice bowl once and I ate it and was on the ground for like 2 hours dying. I can’t take the heat!!

If you were an inventor, what would you invent?
Something that would automatically wash and condition my make up brushes. Washing brushes is the biggest chore in the world when you have so many yet you can’t not do it.

My dream home would consist of Clive Christian’s furniture but I’d mix it up and modernize it a little more with Roberto Ventura’s designs.

SS501, Big Bang, 2PM, Epik High, Wonder Girls, Jinusean, etc. I remember I was obsessed with Korean hip hop back in my preteen days (the YG Family were my gods) and now the obsession is back but this time it has also spread to K-Pop— I have shamefully turned into what they call a “fan girl” once again. I also love Phil Collins, Bryan Adams, Cold Play and Lady Gaga but Asian music I can’t understand FTW (did I just say FTW?)!

If you had another profession beside your own, what would it be?
Either a hair stylist or something to do with fashion. I’d consider a professional blogger but I have a feeling I won’t enjoy it as much if it were to become a “job.”

What current trends would you like to see disappear?
Skinny jeans and converse and the most obvious … dun dun dun … ED HARDY. Don’t worry, I don’t judge people who wear Ed Hardy (haha) but I would just never wear it myself. Well, unless Boyfriend wears it then I’ll TOTALLY judge his ass because he should know better. Anyway, I came across another nasty trend that will be added to my list of hatred:

What is your current obsession?
Korean culture!! Actually, I’ve always loved Korean culture but my obsession just got another kick after finishing Boys Over Flowers.

There was a [very early] point in my life when I was OBSESSED with the WWE (when it was still called WWF)… so obsessed I would tape every WWE episode on TV. Can you imagine how high my stack of VHS tapes were? *hangs head in shame*

Black boots, True Religion jeans, black tank (Mimi McQueen), white v-neck tee (Zara), gray short-sleeved cardigan (Mantique) and chains and necklaces.

Got “ko0ty” stitched onto my Canucks jersey. Most places only do caps and NO lowercase nor numbers which is all I wanted and they actually did it for me so I think I’m the only one around without caps on their jersey. :cheer: I was totally against all caps because “KOOTY” looks too much like “cutie.” Yuck.

Someone extremely skinny so I’d eat the entire day and not have to feel guilty [for all the poutines, black bean chicken feet, carne asada fries, green mango popsicles and all that stuff I just consumed into his/her body]. But then it’s not my body… hmmm.

If you would go anywhere in the world for the next hour, where would you go?
I want to be in Korean on a Korean game show because they’re too freaking hilarious (but then any Asian game show is). I’m soo bored of North American culture. Zzzz. I’ve decided I want to move back to Asia sometime in my life but then I’d have to fully learn an Asian language first… I’m Chinese and can’t even speak it properly. *head is still down in shame*

Annyeong-haseyo! I want to watch Korean dramas without subtitles! If I do succeed (AHAHA), I wanna take a stab at Japanese too (AHAHA).

My only complaint is that Asian guys are too feminine and most of them are prettier me but then it’s accepted in their culture so I can get use to it. I say don’t live with regrets… but that’s a lie because I do have ONE regret. When I was little, I had a loose tooth and was too scared to pull it out so a new one started growing behind it. If I wasn’t such a chickenshit when I was little, I would’ve had PERFECTLY straight teeth right now! You can’t really notice that one crooked tooth but still… I should go back to the past and beat myself up for being an idiot.

I don’t have one defined style… I dress depending on how I feel AND how lazy I am that day. Lately, I’ve been obsessed with arm warmers and fingerless gloves after I found an old pair at the back of my closet so I’m going to work it until the weather gets too hot. THEN I’m going to try start a fan trend (idea stolen from Becca). LOL. BECCA, PLEASE JUMP ON THE BANDWAGON so we don’t have to suffer in the summer and in clubs when it gets soo hot. We may look like prissy bitches but they’re pretty and versatile so screw what everyone thinks.

What’s your favorite ice cream flavor?
I’m boring so I can’t decide between chocolate and vanilla.

Mac for eyes and lips and Clinique/Dior for face.

Do you get enough beauty sleep? Yes or no? why?
No, I’ve probably been getting less than 6 hours of sleep every night for the past 9 years. Sleep is a waste of time (which is a hypocritical comment since I’ve just shortened my life span by a couple of years).

Why did you start your blog?
I’ve been blogging since I was 12! Wonder what I use to write about back in the day? Getting “high” (off-sugar) with my girlfriends after drinking Volt and stocking up on 5-cent candy at the corner store. And stuff like that.

Name the item of clothing that has been with you the longest:
I have lots that that I keep but don’t wear anymore but I think my oldest article of clothing that I still wear would only be from 2006 which were my very first pair of Lululemon yoga pants with the pink band at the hip. I sweat in them and wash them a lot and they’re still in near-perfect condition with no pilling whatsoever. Now that’s good quality! I own more now but that pair is still my favorite (probably because it’s the only pair I bothered to hem while the rest are dragging at my feet— fashion faux-pas?).

Other than jeans, what’s an article of clothing that you can’t live without?
Black leggings of course.

What was the last item of clothing you bought?
DKNY t-shirt, $50. I didn’t really want this shirt… I just bought it because we were in the store and boyfriend was buying something and I felt left out.

Describe your perfect winter & summer footwear:
Winter: Any type of boots! Flats, heeled, ankle, mid-calf, slouchy, etc. etc. Summer: Gladiator sandals, flip flops or ballet flats.

And what’s a brand you wouldn’t recommend?
Clothing from stores like Urban Behaviour, Sirens, Stitches, Urban Planet, Mariposa, etc. Most of the clothing are made from cheap fabric that feels nasty against your skin (eg. acrylic) and they fall apart easily. Their clothes also smell funny. I guess you could say they are equivalent to Forever 21 in the states but then we don’t have F21 here so it’s different!

What’s the ugliest trend of all time?
That’s easy, Ed Hardy. When I walk into stores like Bootlegger, they have a wall of Ed Hardy, CA, Affliction, etc. and it makes me cringe every time I see it.

And the best?
Jeans tucked into boots!!

What was your biggest fashion faux-pas?
I had bright pink track pants when I was a kid which I wore them with a yellow Power Rangers sweater. I also had a bright green wind breaker.

Anyway, I went to the mall during lunch today to try on some UGG Cardy’s so I can buy them online and ended up with a bunch of golf balls for Boyfriend, a black cardigan, a dress, Osis Dust It (recommended by L*) and Twilight by Stephenie Meyer (finally)! I didn’t buy the rest of the books in the series though just in case I don’t like it… which I highly doubt. This was my first time walking out of Chapters with less than 5 new books… t’was a very sad day indeed.

And boot season is coming!!! I need a pair of brown leather flats, gray suede, knee-high flats (like Serena pictured below), black boots with a kitten heel (or <1 inch heel) like the one I purchased last winter which is totally getting worn out because I use to wear them everyday. The good thing about being “tall” is that I don’t have to worry about killing myself in 4 inch heels.

I’ll finally be going home tonight so maybe I’ll update CollectiveHaus and my version of Wordpress on this blog. I’ve been too lazy to drive the 20 minutes home from work this week that I’ve been staying at Boyfriend’s which is a 3 minute drive away.

Obsessing over the Backstreet Boys. N and I are currently devising our plan on how to get awesome tickets to the BSB concert on 09/04 in Vancouver. Of course, being a member of the fan club (LMAO), we get access to presale tickets but of course, I’m upright so we always have to have a Plan B. And we’re also contemplating whether to waste our money and upgrade to VIP. NO TO-DO LIST TODAY! Boy am I happy and relaxed before I have to start pulling late-nights again tomorrow. I have to admit though, I’m a little bored.

I drink out of a can with a straw because I’m too lazy to wash cups. The only exception is that when it’s warm so I’d pour it in a cup with exactly two ice cubes and a straw.

I LOVE LUCY! Well I don’t see it on TV anymore, but it doesn’t matter because I have the complete DVD set. If you don’t know Lucy, you’re totally missing out.

Whoever created keyboard shortcuts. I had to work for a day without short cuts in Photoshop and Illustrator (because the program was effed up) and I almost died/I wanted to die. I swear, it took me like half an hour to create a simple shape because I’m so dependent on them.

Would you be willing to work 4 10-hour days instead of 5 8-hour days in order to save gas?
This topic has been popping up a lot lately and of course, I’d be glad to work four 10-hour days than five days a week. You’re already at work so why not stay there? Two more hours isn’t going to do anything but make my arse flatter while sitting in front of a computer— besides my job isn’t physically tiring. My commute to work is only 20 minutes each way, but I still find that long and annoying so I’d rather do that as less as possible. Although, I guess if you work in retail or a [fast food] restaurant, then you’d probably choose the latter because time passes by soo slowly in those jobs.

If you were a superhero, what would you call yourself?
Last week at work, we had a group activity where we had to create a concept for a new video game and ours was about super heroes. In our demonstration, I was one and because of my red hair, they called me “Phoenix” which no one confirmed with me, so my paper cape had a giant “K” on the back of it. But anyway, I STILL DON’T’ KNOW WHO THE HELL PHOENIX IS!! Back to the topic, a name is too important to pick just like that, but all I know is that my super power will be invisibility. My Mascara:
Lancome L’Extreme is the only mascara that works for me. It’s pricey at $32 a tube but it’s worth it and besides, I don’t use it often. In fact, I usually either don’t wear it or I forget to put on mascara most of the time and on nights when I go out, I wear false lashes). I just like having mascara as a back up because I know it’s there. I’ve given up on my short, stick-straight Asian lashes.

My Blush:
Why spend a billion dollars on department store blush when it’s the one drugstore product that works better? I’ve only tried Mac, Dior, Lancome and Estee Lauder blushes but I always prefer my Annabelle blushes way more. Plus they are like $20 cheapers. Bronzers are a different story though.

My Eye Shadow:
I’m a total Mac whore when it comes to eye shadows! I have a bunch from other brands as well but I barely use them.

My Day Cream:
Dove Energy Glow and Dove Day Cream.

My Lipstick:
My favorite lipstick is Sandy B by Mac but other than that I prefer lipgloss. My favorite l/g is the sadly discontinued Mac’s Chromeglass in Show Coral ♥ ♥ ♥. I’m almost done my last tube so I have to find a look-a-like. Any suggestions?

Um, can I say the entire Sephora store? Just kidding. I’ll have to say Mac because I love everything from there EXCEPT their skin products which makes me break out… and maybe their mascaras because they don’t work on short Asian lashes (damnit).

10!!! What kind of music do you listen to while you drive?
I listen to news stations for traffic and news updates (which is a lot more useful and more interesting than listening to music). Music stations especially The Beat is most annoying thing ever in Vancouver… I don’t understand how anybody can listen to that crap and the annoying DJs!! It’s almost a disgrace to our city (along with our over-population of annoying “gangster-kids”). The only time I might listen to music is at night when driving to Boyfriend’s house; music on my iPod includes oldies, R&B, country, hip hop and Spice Girls! Lol. 1. Do you try to look hot when you go to the grocery store just in case someone recognizes you from your blog?
Of course not. I’m lazy. The only local blogger I can see myself bumping into is Becca and I don’t think she’d care.

I color correct my pictures and increase the contrast a little to make pictures look brighter and better (I do this for all photos I upload online). Quality needs to be perfect in my opinion. P.S. “Photoshopped should always be capitalized!!! Don’t ever type down on Photoshop!! Haterzzz.

No why would I? I like creeps.

4. Do you lie in your blog?
I don’t lie but I tend to exaggerate things (although I make it obvious) otherwise my blog would be so boring due to my uneventful life of reading blogs and playing with my new puppy (Rockband got old, fast).

Okay I actually had to look this up because I haven’t learned much of this stuff since

I don’t fake nice comments because that’s sad and knowing myself, I’d feel guilty when I see my own IP address beside a fake name. About meanies, if you put yourself out on the internet, there are bound to be people who will hate you or get annoyed and if you can’t deal with it, then don’t blog!! But then if your blog does have haters, that means you’ve made it big so CONGRATS! Mine doesn’t have opinionated haters yet although I know there are a lot of lurkers who hate me but can’t resist coming here. Teehee.

9. Have you ever rubbed one out while reading a blog? How about after?
No (I just wrote that because I didn’t understand this question… it sounded sexual but I don’t think it was intended to be).

10. If your readers knew you in person, would they like you more or like you less?
Probably less. My blog personality is a lot differently than my real-life personality. In real life, I’m bitchy, moody, anti-social and prefer not to talk (unless I’m with people I know quite well, then I get annoying). But yeah.

11. Do you have a job?
I do but sometimes I wish I was unemployed so I have the freedom a lot of my friends have that I don’t (well most of them have school AND a part-time job so that’s not really considered freedom but at least they get free time in between 10-6). Maybe it would be better if I got a corner cube with a window like I did last summer then it wouldn’t be so sad being stuck inside as summer rolls around.

12. If someone offered you a decent salary to blog full-time without restrictions, would you do it?
Hells ya! WAIT… maybe not. Once you start getting paid to do something you love, you’ll start resenting it. But how much is “decent?” I guess that together with freelancing (another instance of getting paid for a hobby) can totally make ends meet.

I’m not THAT much into the blogging world.. so nobody. Actually scratch that, I’d love to meet Helga because she’s the funniest and most interesting blog personality (SUCK UP!!! — no I’m not, really).

I wish I could write someone’s name here but I haven’t got that much experience.

15. Do you usually act like you have more money or less money than you really have?
I shop a lot so it may SEEM like I have an excessive amount of money to spend on useless and materialistic things but of course I don’t and I counter that by blogging about how broke I am all the time. I just don’t have to pay rent or have my own car. HEEHEEHEE.

I sure hope not (or else my mom might find out that Mochi is really ours).

This blog was opened in December 2004 but I’ve been blogging since 2000. What did I blog about back then you may ask? Well, about how my friends and I got “high” drinking Jolt Cola from the corner store and sat the park for 6 hours and how we named a complex “Speed Bump City” for its freakishly large speed bumps in which we flew over on our bikes. Yeah… we were sad.

18. Do you get more than 1000 page views per day? Do you care?
I never pay attention to my page views, only unique visitors but then I don’t really care. I still wrote when my visitor count was as low as 20 per day to 200+ per day. I haven’t made it up to 1000 per day but I don’t know if I have the patience to stick around for that long

19. Do you have another secret blog in which you write about being slutty, or a liar?
Yep, see if you can find it so you can read about my daily adventures about “being slutty” (LOLZ for whoever came up with that) and shooting up with random bums.

For some reason I don’t remember this, but Lucky was kind enough to remind me. In grade 3, one of my friends and I wrote a letter from a “boy” and gave it to Lucky which confessed his love to her and then she found out and we got in a fight and she stopped talking to us. Later on we felt bad and my friend gave her a snow globe or something that was really pretty to make up for it and we were friends again (I remember that because I think I was jealous). LOL. I’m sure it was followed by a “I’m sorry for what I did to you” which was always our make up line after the gazillion childish fights we had back then. Teeheehee, we were so cute.

When there is a large sale on, would you share the sale date and location with other people? How many people are actually NOT sharing information they find about sales and just come lurking to find out about ones that others do share?

I don’t mind sharing sale information with other people and I usually do but the only exception are the more private, specialized sample sales that happens once in a blue moon (especially in Vancouver); THEN I’ll be a greedy bitch and keep this information to myself and maybe a couple close friends. I bet lots of girls do this too so I’m not ashamed to admit it. Why? For example, a designer denim private sample sale?!! If you are an obsessed freak like me, I wouldn’t be crazy enough to share this information with you especially if you are the same size as me and you know how crazy sample sales can get (for example, the Aritzia Warehouse Sale that happens every year although everyone knows about it). The only person I’d tell about these sales is my best friend because she is totally on the opposite end of the “size spectrum” as me. Just joking, I usually tell her anyway. 8)

We took the kids to see Santa and had their pictures taken last weekend after getting my nails done at TJ. It was funny because we barged into the room when they were at Temple and interrupted their Vietnamese lessons to pick them up early. Well the Boyfriend did anyway. Anyway, when Santa asked what he wanted for Christmas, J* said he wanted a gingerbread house and for Chu Loa and Auntie Katy and the rest of his uncles and aunties to make it with him. Awww. How cute! But he probably only said our names because we were there with him. We told him we’d build him a life-size gingerbread house he can actually eat completed with a TV, a xBox 360 and his DS and then a panicked look appears on his face and he goes “I don’t wanna eat my DS!.” Lol I love kids! Meanwhile, J* (the girl) wanted the High School Musical DVD and W* wanted Hot Wheels. Such innocent gifts! I just want cash (plus you don’t even have to wrap it… or you can even transfer money online. HAHA).

We were having an argument about what sports are kids are going to play. If I have a son, he is definitely going to play hockey!!! The Boyfriend wants him to play soccer. Hell no! Hockey it is. Our second son can play soccer. Ahaha. I love you Victoria Beckham but hockey is so much more interesting to watch. Basketball might’ve been a choice but since our kid is obviously going to be Asian, which means he’ll be too short.

I just started The Confessor last night which is Terry Goodkind’s latest book… which means I have nothing read after this. Well I have over 40 books on my shelf to read but I want to start another fantasy series!! Suggestions?

The other half will have a huge, comfy reading chair, a furry rug on hardwood floors and a fire place. Walls lined with bookshelves (filled of course). A chocolate fountain with fresh fruits. A steaming pot of tea (Pu-Li). The view outside will the the ocean with a cool breeze coming in occasionally (or maybe a scene from LOTR). Lol. Oh, and of course I’ll need a Macbook and a wireless connection to check my email between reading breaks. Now that’s comfort.
