Bundling Up

Fashion, Hair & Make-Up, Shopping

I want a Soia & Kyo coat sooo bad except I just bought 3 coats… but I have a 20% off coupon! What to do?! What to do?! I know I shouldn’t be buying it but this is going to take a lot of will power. Ah. BUT I HAVE A COUPON!! You can’t let that go to waste considering you would be saving way over $50 on a 300+ item. It’s a freaking steal! :(

Make-Up Talk

Fashion, Hair & Make-Up, Questions

Does your Internet persona differ much from you in real life? Why or why not?

I would say yes and no. I would say I’m quiet in real life half of the time whereas on the internet I seem to talk way too much because I blog too much but that’s what writing is for. I prefer writing over talking anytime. My thoughts, attitude and morals online and offline are all the same though.

Anyway, how much make up is too much for everyday wear?

For myself, I think putting on a full face everyday is too much. I hate wearing foundation and concealer (basically having something all over my face) even though I have fugly uneven skin tone so I usually only do a full face like once or twice a week or something when I’m out with the BF just for fun. Blush is great for a natural glow as long as it’s applied right and doesn’t look weird and streaky. My essentials are lipgloss and eyeliner (and of course, brows). I love love LOVE eye shadows, experimenting and blending colors so I use them most of the time when I’m not feeling lazy. Mascara? Eh. Sometimes. I’ve given up on my short and stick straight Asian lashes. Also, glasses + fake lashes don’t go too well together since I hate wearing my contacts too. It’s funny because I have over 50 sets of fake lashes that I barely use.

Eye Shadows

Whorish, unnatural, extremely dramatic make up everyday is not okay either! And foundations that don’t match your skin tone, bronzer that is too dark/oranage, streaky blush, extremely bright lipsticks, bright eyeshadow that itsn’t blended well… I think we’ve all been guilty of that once, but still, ew.

I hate seeing girls wear red lipstick when it looks horrible with their skin tone, although I’m jealous of girls who can pull it off because red is such a sexy and elegant color. Also if your face shape isn’t right, I think it just looks all wrong. I think only a handful of girls can pull this off and not too many of them are Asians. I can only seem to get away with light pinks, browns and nudes; nothing dark— but it’s okay I love those colors anyway.

BUT if you are a make up freak and love to do a full face everyday, then who cares what other people think. If it makes you feel better about yourself and look better then by all means use it since that’s what make up is for anyway. Those people who are like “omg that girl is wearing way too much make up” is probably just jealous, plus not everyone is blessed with natural beauty! I admit I use to do that, but I try not to be as judgemental anymore.

I also hate girls who complain about people getting cosmetic surgery when they use make up themselves. One is more extreme than the other but they both have the same concept; they’re all just trying to make themselves look/feel better, hypocrites.

Louis Vuitton Tribute Patchwork Bag
Would you pay 52 grand for one of the 24 that looks like recycled fabric scraps sewn together?

I was lazy-ing around Lover’s house and ended up not going to the warehouse sale on Saturday! Goddamn laziness. I heard it was awesome too. Seven jeans for $50?! :sorry:

But anyway, later on, it took me almost a freaking hour to get to Metrotown from his house when it should’ve only taken about 10 minutes because of traffic and construction; I don’t think I’ve been more pissed off in my life! Solution? I went shopping to drain all that anger away and it worked except I went about 5 times over budget. I ended up only buying the the Smoking Eyes quad, another 15-pan palette and a bunch of single e/s at MAC and also a lot of tops, dressy capris and flats all for a little over $DC. I think this was the first time in my life I actually bought my money’s worth so no guilt here.

Also, I successfully depotted all my eye shadows!!! I started with Light Ray since I picked it up for $5 at the CCS in Seattle earlier this year and don’t care if I ruined, then I went onto my poor Shroom next which I kind of crushed because I was trying to get the pan out but I didn’t melt the glue enough!! I left that in the pot because it was too crumbled. :*( I still can’t find the tip of my exacto knife that snapped off. At least the rest of the e/s turned out awesome.

It doesn’t look like Lover is going to get his passport back by next weekend so I guess we’ll have to plan something else for the long weekend. I don’t really want to go to Portland anymore anyway because I bought everything I need last weekend already. Maybe I’ll take N’s advice and go hiking or head over to the island… I also want to somehow get him to go horseback riding again. Muhaha.

The girls and I had dinner at So.cial at Le Magasin in Gastown on Friday and they had the best food ever! Totally delish! Everything was seasoned PERFECTLY and the portions were good; AND it was such a cute little place. I swear, this was the first place we went to where we are all like, “OMG YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS!!” *chucks a piece of food on someone else’s plate. Mmmm. Afterwards we were going to go to good ol’ ATL (which we haven’t been to since we were underaged) but couldn’t find parking near by so we left because we didn’t wanna walk. Maybe next time.

Where is your favourite place to be on a sunny Sunday afternoon?

Lazy-ing around my house or his house after a scrumptious lunch just because Sunday is our lazy day (well isn’t everyday?).

He decided to spend his birthday with his family this year since he always spends his money with his friends on his birthday. Aww. He took us all to eat at The Boathouse Restaurant. ♥ We’ve been to Boathouse a gazillion times already this month and I think I’m already getting sick of it!

Today I finally had the chance to go back to MAC and pick up Freso Rose and Moss Scape. I ♥. I also picked up Sushi Flower to go with Fresco Rose and Humid to complete my green collection. Then I also bought 3 jackets (1 tweed, 1 wool, 1 cropped) and a pair of boots all for under $300 (saved over $100) which resulted in the boyfriend getting really angry because he had to wait soooo long for me. Sorry!!! But anyway, that was a very unsatisfying shopping trip because I was rushed (that’s why I like to shop alone …or online shopping better); I shall try again next weekend.

I thought this stuff was good, but it’s muy AWESOME!!!
Lash Grip

Fake eyelashes, held on by Adrell’s Lash Grip, fluttering wildly in the wind in a covertible on a windy day for 20 minutes. The results? The lashes didn’t budge at all! I was expecting for them to fly off because I couldn’t even keep my eyes opened because of the wind (unfortunately, I forgot my sunglasses) so I was absolutely amazed.
