So anyway, we went out for dinner last week and one of my friends asked N, M and I why are we always so angry and was that why we are so close [as friends]. We couldn’t help but to laugh because it’s soo true. We grew up together since elementary school and we are 3 very angry girls— well we weren’t angry 24/7, it’s just when we were mad, we’re MAD. The difference was that 2 of us always let our anger out to whomever and whenever while the other is usually just angry when she’s very “passionate” about something (eg. despises specific individuals although she usually has a reason to).

I’m not sure about everyone else, but I don’t get as pissed off at people as I did when I was in high school (our high school was filled with a lot of unbearable and immature people— ironically this probably includes us as well.. LOL). One of my friends (same one who asked us the question above) shared almost every class with me in our grade 11 year and she still tells everyone that I was either angry (and ranting about someone or something) or asleep in every single one of them and I can’t deny it because I think it was true. Ahahaha. When I think back, I feel really bad for putting my friend through all that anger since she was a pretty positive and calm person. :S Sorry D*. One of my New Years resolution this year was start being nicer to people and at least TRY to be genuine about it and I’m surprised because this the only resolution that I’ve kept for this long… well I’m trying hard at least. :P So I’m glad to say that I’m a happier and more positive person than I was… 6 months ago.

Anyway, I’m just burning time because I was called into work to fix a bug and just waiting around for a bit just in case. Good thing we were having a BBQ (+ UFC night) at Boyfriend’s house because it’s only 5 minutes away. The thing I LOVE about Boyfriend’s BBQs is that he always prepares an OVERWHELMING amount of food; buckets and buckets of marinated lemongrass chicken wings, ribs, pork hash (I don’t know what’s so good about this but the guys absolute love it), hot dogs (his family usually don’t do hot dogs but I made him get it because what’s a BBQ without em?) and lots more. Plus Boyfriend is the best griller ever; there’s no such thing as raw and/or burnt food under his watch. Of course, I stalked up on veggies & dip, cherry tomatoes, cheese and pepperoni chunks and Alize for his nephew and I to munch on (minus the Alize for him). Too bad we were pretty much full before the first batch was finished grilling.

Gonna stop rambling now. Back to the foooood (maybe some dessert?).

Sorry I haven’t been online lately. The last couple weeks have been filled with work, planning the party, dinking around with the Boyfriend and drinking lots of bubble tea (fresh watermelon slush with no pearls :lovestruck: …which isn’t even considered bubble tea anymore), watching Lost, playing Rockband and just bumming around… trying to avoid the computer at all cost because I’m on too much at work.

I hope everyone participated in EARTH HOUR last night! I looked outside and ALL my neighbours’ lights were on. It made me sooo mad even though some of them probably didn’t know. :P

There was a forum topic about what you like to stock up on. Here is what I like to make sure I have:

  • Urban Decay Potion Primer. Always stock up when we go to the states… I have 3 new bottles lying around somewhere.
  • Bonne Bell Eye Definer. I’ve been using this eyeliner since grade 9 and it has never failed me! Plus it only costs $1.99. The last time I stocked up, I accidently grabbed Black Shimmer instead of Black Ink. GRRR.
  • False eyelashes. I barely wear them because I like wearing glasses 95% of the time but for some reason I like buying them just “in case.” PLUS they’re pretty! I have over 40 pairs at home and just purchased 10 new pairs of Ardell Lashes online.
  • Crest White Strips. Because they are cheaper in the states.
  • K-Pak Hair Reconstructor. Fake/Bleached blonds should always have extra bottles lying around.

I planned a surprise birthday party for my best friend on Friday before we headed to the club; it had all the works including a hot stripper, a limo and … fried chicken! Hah. All the stress was totally worth it although it became a very expensive night after I cracked the screen on my cellphone (and none of my contacts are saved my Sim card when it should’ve been!!). :sorry:

Speaking of cellphones, I paid $500 for mine when it first came out in Asia, but now it’s selling for $250 and everyone in North America has it too. Boo. Since mine is cracked, I’m using Boyfriend’s for now until I get a temporary phone tomorrow except we keep on getting confused because when his’ rings he picks up and vice versa (my phone still works except you can’t see the screen). I want a smart phone with WiFi, GPS and a Qwerty Keyboard but I don’t know if I want to spend that much money on another phone unless it’s a Nokia because they are super durable. Stress! I should be happy that I have an excuse to buy a new phone but I’m not because I can’t make up my mind. :@

I just have to write about this story because it was way too amusing. :)

So after a nice long, tiring but successful day shopping in Seattle, N and I were driving M back to her new apartment in New Westminister at around midnight. We were complaining that we were going to get lost on the way back because besides Richmond and Vancouver, we have no idea how the hell to get around the Lower Mainland even though we’ve been living here for most of our lives. After we dropped her off, we pulled out the map in my car and found a route back to the Queensborough Bridge but after a three-point-turn (to get out of her neighbourhood) and a right turn, WE GOT LOST AGAIN and had to pull over to find out where the hell we were. LMAO. How pathetic; but we couldn’t stop laughing our asses off at our stupidity. We eventually found our way again, crossed the bridge, saw signs going back to Richmond so it was all good (for now).

BUT then we started a conversation about how the “WEST” Richmond signs fucked N and D up last time THEY were there, and a bridge was coming up ahead and we ended up going straight instead of exiting where we were suppose to because we were being blondes and arguing too much about where to go. Screaming and uncontrollable laughter filled the car as we panicked and drove slowly and helplessly across that giant bridge to the unknown… so we took the first exit saw, ended up at a lonely Timmy Hoes with a bunch of construction workers. Giggled all the way into the restaurant, explained to an old man how we got lost and asked for directions, got laughed at and were told that we had to “go out more.” We then asked what city we were in (!!!) and got laughed at some more (to this day, we still aren’t sure but I have a hunch that we were in Surrey).

So we proceeded to go home again with our new directions, all was well until we were driving in the middle of nowhere again and realized what bad listeners we were because N was screaming at Mascha on the phone telling her what happened while I was amused out of my mind trying to listen to the old man and N at the same time, therefore we missed the left turn although I think he told us specifically to stay in the left lane! But 2 minutes after a u-turn, we saw a sign going back to Richmond. Whew!

God, that was a total blond moment moments. But I swear, this is one of the most amusing nights of my life.

Today I went to the mall during my lunch break to buy an anniversary/Valentines present for Boyfriend. Although I DID buy something for him, I spent 965431345 times more on myself (okay, in my dreams). At least this is my first “big” NOT-online shopping spree in a long long time so I guess that’s somewhat okay. Hehehe. It was fun.

Anyway I got into a routine of snoozing my alarm for an hour, waking up at freaking 6 in the morning, drive to work in a good mood (no traffic), work out, take a nice refreshing shower and do my make up, go down to cafeteria to pick up some fattening bagels with extra cream cheese, an egg muffin, a breakfast wrap, pancakes with fresh strawberries and whip cream, two eggs; sunny-side-up and hash browns to munch on in front of my computer, read Google News, stalk MV, and then start work at 10am. It’s great because I usually get “lazy” by 6, when I get off work and end up going home to pig out and sleep but this way I actually get my excercise and feel better in the morning.

I was just joking about the food (although I wish I weren’t). I usually just get my first bottle of Nutri-V Lemon Green Tea and then eat something fattening for lunch. And then more Green Tea afterwards. Nutri-V Lemon Green Tea is the shit.

I discovered this last week so I emailed all the girls and now we have a day trip planned to go to Victoria! I’m so excited.. I haven’t been to Victoria in so long which is kind of sad because we are only a ferry and a billion kilometers away (okay, exaggerating again).

I just accidentally bought another pair of Rocks online today (they were on sale!!). :sorry: “Damnit!”

Edit –
Oh wait, I went to the mall last weekend for round one of his Valentines present as well and I did the same thing I did today. :suspicious:

Oh the horrors…

Boyfriend, Food, Friends & Family

Boyfriend and I went to eat at O Thai last weekend and the restaurant had a really nice and modern atmosphere. Out of the blue, Boyfriend was like, I want your parents to meet my parents.

I was left utterly speechless.

And then we both burst out laughing.

1. My dad doesn’t talk and his dad doesn’t talk much either.
2. My mom’s mouth never stops and his mom loves to talk as well.
3. My parents only speak Cantonese and Chinglish.
4. Boyfriend’s parents only speak Vietnamese.

Yeeeah. Not gonna happen anytime soon unless we want a little dinner party with one Chinese woman and a Vietnamese woman talking to themselves while two grown men kids slurp their soup in awkwardness. Boyfriend and I won’t be there because we would’ve already ran away long ago. Let’s just save this for near-marriage and we both agreed that that’s not gonna happen anytime soon either. :P

Speaking of marriage, I totally can’t wait for my wedding (which is totally contradictory to my last statement)! I’m definitely going to have a themed-wedding whether Boyfriend likes it or not and the only reason I’m saying that here is so that no one steals my idea. Hah. My theme is either going to be Old Hollywood or 17th century France/Marie Antoinette era. BUT just watch me get lazy when I do get married and have a so-normal traditional wedding. Damnit. At least I already know who my wedding coordinator and photographer is going to be… let’s just hope they don’t jack up their prices by then. But seriously, no one better start getting ideas from this post.

But anyway, we both love our parents so don’t take this post too seriously.
