Lazy Saturday

Coffee at one of my favorite coffee shops and bakeries in the city.

Seafood Laksa. There was this new Chinese restaurant that opened in place of an old one we use to go to often. It was meh.

What I love: spending an entire morning at Chapters with a coffee and surrounded by books and fitness mags.

After starting the day with a yummy breakfast, of course.

Love love LOVE Shanghainese food. One of my favorite Asian cuisines.

A typical night at a girlfriend’s place…

…and she always makes us a delicious kimchi stew with lots of spam.

The beginning of another great dim sum adventure.

This is my favorite thing Boyfriend’s mom makes (other than bun bo hue); her udon noodle soup.

God, I love poutine so much…

And anything with roasted duck in it.

Especially PEKING DUCK WRAP!!

Speaking of wraps, the cafeteria at work serves a piece of heaven wrapped up in delicious goodness. The saddest feeling is taking the last bite.

I craved for and ate sushi almost every night last week.

This was the funnest sporting event I’ve been to (even compared to a Canucks play off game) from screaming until I could barely talk and throwing ponchos at TFC fans. Remind me never to go to an away game.

Imagine if you were under the flag that made it’s way around the stadium several times and we scored a goal. I would’ve been so choked!

Anyway, I have to get back to work. =(
Speaking of work, dogs make a happier and more productive work place (despite amusingly watch one chasing it’s own tail for 10 minutes).

Easy Mix-In’s
Take one can of tuna and add one of the following ingredients.
Tuna Salad
2 tbsp low fat mayo and some chopped onion
Old El Paso Tuna
¼-1/3 cup salsa
Mustard-Dill Tuna
Mustard to taste sprinkled with some dill
Oriental-Ginger Tuna
1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp chicken broth, ginger and garlic powder
Insanely delicious fried rice:
Fried rice is super easy to make; you can basically chop up and throw any leftovers in your fridge in a pan and fry it with some day old rice. My favorite fried rice is simply with the 5 ingredients above.

What’s your favorite fried rice recipe?
