HI THERE, IS THERE SOMETHING SPECIFIC YOU'D LIKE TO READ?

Guilty Pleasures
  • MSG-filled but irresistable Asian food. Mmmm. REAL Asian cuisine is the best… it beats any Kobe steaks, lobsters and even Lumiere’s butternut squash ravioli. For example, if you want good lobster, eat it at a Chinese restaurants served with those yummy noodles and sauce. Heaven.

  • Eating the skin of fried chicken. You always tell yourself that you won’t eat the skin… BUT IT’S THE BEST DAMN PART!!!

  • Unfinished vector of Tila I did a billion years ago.

  • Degrading, sex & drama filled reality TV shows (eg. Rock of Love, Paradise Hotel, that show Tila Nguyen hosted which I forgot the name already, etc.). Face it, you hate these shows yet you can’t stop watching people degrade themselves this way because that’s pure and real entertainment.
  • Buying books you will never read. Although I’m not picky with my books, I tend to buy a lot of books which are way out of my intellectual range because they will look good on my book shelf (eg. old, really thick volumes and classics). I also planning on buying the whole Shopaholics series by Sophie Kinsella even though I don’t read Chick Lit because the books look pretty on the outside. When I fall in love with an author, I tend to try buy every single book he/she wrote even if they aren’t that great just so I can have the “whole collection.”
  • Watching old black and white movies and TV shows. I Love Lucy is my all-time favorite show (it beats everything on TV right now… even Lost and 24). I think everyone should bow to the First Lady of Television (Lucille Balle). Breakfast at Tiffany’s is also one of my favorite rainy day movies.
  • McDonald’s breakfast. Yessss I knowwwww… it’s so bad for you but it’s not like I eat it everyday! I only go to McDonalds like once or twice a month for breakfast ONLY so I’m still good. Lol.
  • Old music ranging from 20s-90s. I can’t list artists because I don’t know who most of them are but you hear it all over the place (TV, radio, old commercials, etc.). Mainstream music isn’t the ONLY good stuff.
  • Old Disney movies. Awww it brings back good memories of the times when you can eat all the peanut butter out of the jar without feeling guilty or when you can run around naked and no one would care. LOL.
  • Tater-Tots. Omg hell yeah! Plus the name is so cute… who can resist?
  • Dim sum. It’s my favorite “meal of the day.” Mmm.
  • Buying stuff just for the sake of buying, not because you need it. Enough said. Who doesn’t love shopping?

That was in no particular order. I noticed that half of my list was food-related.

What are YOUR guilty pleasures?

Some Boring Updates

Yesterday, Boyfriend and I were driving around Port Coquitlam burning time and looking for a place to eat. We ended up going to Hon’s because we are indecisive and picky and wanted Asian food so we always end up choosing sh!tho places (the only other Asian place around was a Pho Hoa and 24-hour pho places are nastayyy!). Anyway, that got me thinking when I saw all the Caucasian people there; most of them only know these kinds of Chinese restaurants (think Hons, No.9, King’s Garden etc.) so is that what Chinese food is to them?! That’s a shame because the food there is literally … crap? All the GOOD Chinese food are the dishes served at huge restaurants like Sun Sui Wah, Kirins, etc.; well the ones that I like anyway. There are times when you crave for food from GOOD noodle houses (like Tsim Chai Noodle House on Westminister Hwy in Richmond, across from RPM) but you can’t eat THAT much of that stuff all the time. Wait… can you?

But yeah, Hon’s was terrible and we totally consumed unnecessary and unsatisfactory calories and MSG (grrr!). I went on that electrocuting-treadmill again yesterday morning for nothing (I never learn). Speaking of the gym, the music was skipping and the staff usually doesn’t come in until 11am on Saturdays so I had to endure 3 hours of NeYo going… nu-nu-nu-nu-nu-nu-nu-nu-nu.

Good news! Boyfriend wants to go to the states soon and that means I get to buy more jeans. Woot! I wasn’t planning to go until July/August because I really need to stop spending until I get a new closet but I guess I can’t now. Harharhar.

In our “backyard-beach” at Tofino ’06.

The girls and I are going down to the Oregon Coast as our weekend-and-a-couple-of-days trip this summer! We usually go to Tofino but wanted to go somewhere else and chose Oregon because it’s within driving distance, the coast is beautiful and of course, shopping tax-free! Hopefully the planning this year will go smoothly unlike last year. Planning is sooo damn frustrating (and maybe people who no patience shouldn’t be doing it… LOL). The first year N & I came up with the idea of going to Tofino with just the girls, I didn’t really think it would actually happen because it’s so hard getting everyone together at the same time (especially for a couple of days!) but we actually succeeded by planning months ahead, so it’s always worth it in the end.

How women get fat.

Let’s go get from fried chicken!
Uhhhh... *contemplates* … okay fine. We’re going snowboarding tomorrow anyway.

Craving for a turkey and grilled cheese sandwich…
Whatever, I’m working out today.
Then you end up going home to pig out more before hitting the hay.

I can totally relate to the Crispy Delights commerical. In fact, I have a couple bags of them in my purse which I’m gonna eat all at once at some point tomorrow while I slouch in front of the computer at work for 8 hours. Well except for the trips down to EAt to get some ice cream. And cookies. And jello. And cake. Mmmm.

But whatevs, I’m going to the gym after work tomorrow anyway.

..

Yep.

*Oh the horrors…
