The Swiffer Duster
[Yes I stole that right off the website.] Call me my mom but I love this thing (plus my mom bought it for me). All the furniture in my room is black and I leave my window open year-round so when the dust settles, you can see it everywhere and I HATE dust and almost-all-things-dirty so dusting my room gives me an eerie sense of satisfaction.
Crest White Strips
These are way overpriced in Canada, but elsewhere, they are not so it’s quite a nifty little investment for poor people like me who can’t get their teeth whitened professionally. A couple months ago, a very good friend of mine kept on ranting about it and flashing her extremely white teeth in my face and I got jealous so I finally jumped on the bandwagon. I’m on a secret mission to get my teeth abnormally whiter than hers but she doesn’t know it yet. She lives two provinces over too so next time I’m going to give her something to look at when she looks out the window of the plane. Heh-heh-heh. It’ll be a while, but I’m getting there. (Lucky, you better watch out)

I can’t say much about this but it makes life so much easier and faster. ALT+CTRL+Z. CTRL+SHIFT+S. Oooooh. ALT+C. ALT+V. CTRL+ALT+DEL. Ahhhhh. ALT+SHIFT+CTRL+S. CTRL+F8. D. X. V. T. A. SHIFT + C. Orgasmic. Now more time to do things like dust my room with my Crest White Strips on. I’ll give you a cookie if you can guess what programs those short cuts are for and what they do.
Other things: books, jeans, money, credit cards, food… the usual boring stuff everyone loves as well. I bet no one thought of the Swiffer Duster… but then that is pretty lame. Shut up.
CHINA’S FIRST CARBON NEUTRAL HOTEL
In May 2007, URBN Hotels entered into an agreement with Climate Bridge, an international intermediary offering bespoke solutions for companies and industries to reduce and offset greenhouse gas emissions. The total amount of energy the hotel consumes, including staff commutes, food and beverage delivery, and the energy used by each guest, will be tracked to calculate the carbon footprint. URBN will then purchase credits to neutralize its footprint by investing in green energy development and emission reduction projects in China. Hotel guests can also choose to purchase carbon credits from the program to offset their flights. All credits are verified and approved by the United Nations. This voluntary action by URBN Hotels is significant considering China is the fastest growing emitter of greenhouse gases and is central to the success or failure of the global response to climate change.
