Summer Plans

Summer Plans

I am so pumped for summer because there are a ton of things I want to do:

  • Crossfit. We needed a new challenge so we finally started today. Crossfit is most effective fitness program to date; it’s fun, it’s high intensity and it’s HARD. This is going to be an exciting month!
  • Warrior Dash. Just registered this morning and we already have a place booked in Whistler for that weekend! I’m glad I started Crossfit before this so because I’m going to secretly race Boyfriend and kick his ass at the dash.
  • Grouse Grind. I’m going to get a pass and swear I’ll do it at least 10 times this summer. I’d do it everyday if I could if it wasn’t for my schedule.
  • Yoga. I’ve been saying that I’m going to start yoga to work on my flexibility for ages but still haven’t yet. It’s not a priority but definitely one of my goals this summer.
  • Rock Climbing. We’ve been talking about this for a while too and already assembled a small group but we haven’t found the time to commit to this yet.

I’ve heard a lot about Crossfit… definitely thinking of looking into it. The hard part is making the time to do these things. Life is so packed that waking up early is the only way I can… and I hate mornings ;)

Make it a priority and it’ll be easy. ;)

Dayum girl! You’re so active, I love it. I would love to do these things that you have mentioned too, but I’m so unfit and weak haha. Dx

I hated exercise when I was fit and weak too but once I started doing it consistently, I started getting stronger and my endurance went way up so now that I know I can handle it, I always look forward to it and to more challenges. Nothing feels better than feeling fit!

I’ve been saying the same thing about yoga! I’ve stopped doing it regularly and noticed my muscles are more stiff now but I’ve started pilates and that’s been good. But going to skip grouse grind now, I know it’s a good workout but I like something a bit more fun. The hike at Whistler is amazing, beautiful, and hard! I remember having to climb down a rock hill and slide down an ice patch..it was dangerous lol but so much fun!

And thanks for coming by my blog too..appreciate the comments!

Such cool summer plans! I definately would love to try out some rock climbing!! It targets muscles that you didn’t even know you had (or..me..)

I think rock climbing was #1 on the list of exercises that burns the most calories on a list I saw a couple years ago. It also builds amazing upper body strength! Since we are planning to do indoor rock climbing, I might do this in fall while saving time to do outdoor activities in the summer.

Wow, I’d love to be as motivated as you when it comes to working out, but I’m too lazy, haha. I need someone to workout with me, and hence, motivate me, but alas, my friends are all lazy bums too.

I’ve never gone rock climbing but I would wallclimb back in college. I miss it!
And I wanna try Crossfit but membership is so expensive -_- Hopefully, I’ll get a new job soon so I can afford it haha.

    Check out http://crossfit.com

If you go to the crossfit website of your local crossfit box, they usually post a “workout of the day” that you can do anywhere as long as there is equipment. It’s a good idea to actually go to the gym and get trained on form and technique first though before getting into it.
