Workout out with others as often as possible. Misery loves company.
I love working out alone on days where I’m only lifting weights and/or doing cardio but I also love doing full body routines with my girlfriends (think tabata, plyometrics, bootcamp). It’s great to have friends there to push you, to encourage you, to correct your form… I’m blessed to have active and fit friends who are always down for a brutal sweat session.

Ahh I definitely need a workout buddy; once you’ve done a vid on the ‘net enough times it’s hard to pretend the trainer is ‘right there with you’ when you’ve memorized everything she says in it! But this just motivated me to workout (even if it’s on my lonesome), so thank you

Well there are tons of videos! I suggest taking a laptop or burning a DVD of the video and taking it your gym and do it in one of the studio rooms if there is one. I find that I work harder and am more motivated when I’m NOT working out at home.

I love reading about your fitness/health posts. Question, do you take any vitamins, supplements, protein powders etc.? if so, which ones and for what?
Thanks Katy.
Keep up the health and workout posts!

Thanks Jess!
I take protein powder after a workout ONLY if I know I won’t be able to get “real” protein within the next 2 hours. The real thing is always better!
Fish oil capsules everyday, for my health and for my dry eyes (double benefits).
Multivitamins but I always forget to take them… although as long as you’re getting the proper nutrition, you shouldn’t need any.
I also take Caltrate Plus because I don’t usually get enough calcium in my diet and I have also have weak knees.

Be proud of me! I’m finally joining a gym. Actually joining with a friend so we can be accountable of one another, but yeah… Finally getting off my lazy bum.

I used to have a workout buddy, but then she graduated and moved away.
My friends aren’t into working out as much as I am. Oh well, there’s always the iPod…
