Beautiful BC Summers
Whistler, B.C. – British Columbia-style weekends a.k.a. relaxation + being surrounded by GORGEOUS scenery. I’m so happy I live in the best place on earth.

These pictures can’t capture the BOOTIFULGORGEOUSAMAZINGNESS of the view and the sparkling, clear, green-blue water.

“BEFORE” [we get all sweaty and gross] picture.

Garabaldi hike crew. Our plan was to go up to Black Tusk but we didn’t start the hike until 3pm-ish since there was a national BBQ championship going on. Who can resist a good BBQ?!

Looks like you guys had a lot of fun up in Whistler
Nice getaway! And I’m loving the scenery throughout the hike!

Looks like a great hike! I know you mentioned a picture before you get all sweaty and gross, but for some reason, the hike looks cold/cool.
You’re lucky you have a group to hike with, I always go with just one or two people. It’s probably way more fun with eight.

There was actually a storm the day before so the hike day was pretty cool and it was high up so there was still snow at the end of the hike, near where the alphine lake was. In the second to last picture, the white stuff behind us were clouds and I think it was 2/3 of the way up! We were also under the trees most of the time so the sun only peeked though occasionally. The following day was sooo hot though.

LOL @ Cougar night! At least we didn’t have to worry about that haha. Aww it looks like you guys had a blast at your BBQ competition and the hike! I wish I could have come but probably would have died trying to hike in my TOMS lol. I did try to later but it was a super short hike and my TOMS hated me for it. I still can’t believe what a small world it is bumping into you, but it was awesome to finally meet you. hope to see you around Vancouver! xo

Wow, the views are gorgeous! For some reason there’s been a commercial lately which depicts the same scenes, and it’s about saving the Canadians or something? I don’t remember, but I do remember oohing and aahing at the beautiful views :]

Wow. The pictures of your hike look great. Kind of wish I could go hiking somewhere like that. Sigh. I feel guilt tripped and the need to go hiking now, which is probably a good thing.

And you met got to meet Nicole, she’s a sweetie. I’m going hiking next weekend too. Good thing the weather has cooled down a lot. And yes, Vancouver is absolutely breathtaking. We’re so blessed to live here, especially since you just came back Asia and I from Europe – no place compares!!

Where are you going hiking? We were going to go back to hit up Black Tusk next Sunday but I think we’re going to the beach instead. I’d so rather go hiking though. :S
I agree, after being in Asia for 5 weeks, I’m never going to complain about Vancouver again.

Gonna do The Chief again. My friends want to be there at 9AM {faints} Maybe it’s not a bad idea to hit up the beach since summer’s quickly passing us by.
Oh gosh, bathrooms in Asia is the worse! Master your hovering/squatting abilities, huh?
I complained about Vancouver and then I went to Europe. Silly me.

Nice… I want to do The Chief again this summer. You should try heading up the Squawk (sp?) Trail for a change of scenery. It connects somewhere in between the bottom/middle of the Chief. We went down it by accident and the undeveloped trails totally killed my knees but it seems fun going up.
