Your dream wedding.
My wedding was either going to be themed Old Hollywood or Marie Antoinette’s 18th century flare. I couldn’t decide between the two for the longest time but I finally chose my beloved Marie! I have a dilemma though; I really wanted purple to be my wedding color but when I think of Marie Antoinette, I think of pinks, blues, pastels… NOT purple the dark, luscious purple I want but I’ll make it work somehow. I won’t be surprised if I change my theme in a couple years though… my taste is forever evolving. I’ve seen a lot of darker themed weddings lately and I really want to wear a black wedding dress!

Woah a black wedding dress?! That’s bold! You could try to work it in with this theme, depending on the complementing color with the purple – it could be a more edgy, version of Marie Antoinette!

I love that idea! I’m reallyy leaning on a wedding that’s different from a typical wedding and I’m not religious so I don’t have to get married in a church to I can do whatever I want.

I love the idea of the marie antoinette wedding. it sounds just so extravagant, and over the top, but in a very beautiful way. It sounds super amazing, and I can’t wait to see how your dream wedding comes about one day =)

Nice! My current idea for my wedding is summer colors (blue, yellow, white and green) with a kind of underwater theme. Not over the top, just a few details to give it a feel… like conch shells, sand, colorful fish and etc.
But dang… a black wedding dress? I think I’m too much of a wimp to go outside to customary white/ivory/cream. Not even sure if I could go as risky as black bridesmaid dresses…

OMG A Marie Antoinette french style wedding would be absolutely stunning….and of course, drop dead expensive, but we can always dream big.
I’m too scared to try a black wedding dress because I might regret it 20 years later. And my mom would hate it since it’ll look like a funeral more than a wedding. I think I’ll save black and all the dark colors for other events. White for weddings…since that’ll probably be the only time I’ll wear white.

Initially I wanted to do a wedding with an english/french regency flare because I’m so fascinated w/ that genre… but it didn’t reflect my fiance’s & I’s personality at all. I hope you do it for yours…. it would be soooo beautiful. Especially if you had it in Victoria. Or the Fairmont Hotel!

A Marie Antoinette wedding sounds amazing (and super expensive)! I think I’d want white and gold for my wedding, so traditional I know, but I was thinking something along the lines of Mt. Olympus, home of the gods, because I love Greek mythology *hearts*
