7 More Things

Old tag from Bunnie:

  • I’ve never read Life Of Pi!! *hangs head in shame*
  • I thought The Dark Knight sucked.
  • I know Bunnie’s like cilantro but I think it  tastes like crap. When I was 5, we were at some Chinese restaurant in HK and I was quietly trying to pick it all out of my soup and my mom yelled at me and made me eat it while I sat there crying. It scarred me for life.
  • DantatThe same year we were in HK, we bought a box of egg tarts and as I was proudly carrying it home, Mom told me to give some to the apartment security guard so I went up to him and ended dropped the whole box on his shoes. I blame it on that damn bowl cut my mom made me get earlier that day.
  • I’ve been trying to design a new theme for 24C for the past two years, spending up to 6 months on just one, and only ended up throwing away every design. You are definitely your own worst critic.
  • I hate when I excitedly click on a link and it turns out to be a slideshow or a video.
  • My least favorite muscle group to train: BICEPS. They are so boring and the easiest to develop so I always do the least exercises for them. Zzz.

Anyway, I totally forgot about this but I found this old entry of goals I made for January to April:

My goals from now until April:

  • Absolute NO clubbing or alcohol.
  • Get body into optimal shape.
  • Keep all blogs up-to-date.
  • Put 3Gs into my “special” fund.
  • Personal shopping budget: $200/month. NO spending on books or make up… but clothing is fine. :P

At least I kept 3/5 of them! As for clubbing, I think I only went once so that was good but not much could’ve been helped with the alcohol. Body is not in optimal shape since I don’t think I’m pushing myself as hard as I did a couple months ago but I’m getting stronger so I’m satisfied. I will be in better shape later this summer though because my friends and I have lots of plans! I kind of struggled with keeping up this blog but I’ve been updating the other one daily. Shopping; I bought stuff in April but they didn’t get to my door until May… does that count?

Thank goodness I’m not the only one who thought TDK sucked.. not that it sucked per se, but I didn’t understand it when I watched it so I was like, “HUH? What did I just watch?” LOL.

I’ve never read Life of Pi either, even though everyone’s recommended it to me…<_<
& every time I see your post titles with "new look", I always think you did a new layout for your site…lol

I don’t like cilantro either, my old boss can eat cilantro like its any other vegetable and I just gag.

I thought the Dark Knight was okay, but definitely overhyped. And I’ve never read Life of Pi.

I congratulate you on your budget and sorta keeping it! I’ve always been a major fail when it comes to budget-keeping… I really need to try harder.

Cilantro is amazing – you’re crazy. Today my mom said she’s going to give me a cilantro plant. I’m thrilled!

“I hate when I excitedly click on a link and it turns out to be a slideshow or a video.” YESSS.

haha, egg tarts are delicious…would have been so mad if i dropped them too!

great job on your goals! I have a list somewhere as well..probably didn’t keep at it as well as you did! blogging’s up/down for the most part for me – some days it’s easier than others! What are your other blogs? that is if you don’t mind readers reading it of course.

I think I’ve had really bad food incidents with brussel sprouts, same thing, mother yelling and I’m crying, not wanting to finish the *shudder* brussel sprouts.

bowl hair cuts! cute! until the age of 5. then no more haha.

Hi Katy! I thought the Dark Knight was okay – I just felt that the Joker’s role in the movie was a bit shorter than anticipated.
But what’s with the no clubbing/no alcohol?!!! :\ I know alcohol has carbs/sugar/calories yadda yadda yadda but clubbing/a few drinks is a great way to let loose and you look like you love clubbing too :) You work hard girl – you deserve to indulge like that.

gah I haven’t read the life of pi either and I’m so sick of everyone telling me to read it! BAH enough already. and am I a loser for not knowing what 24C? is it something obvious..

also to reply to your comment, everything I put on the website is all you need :) I think the coconut curry you’re thinking of is more Indian style than the Korean/Japanese one I’m making. I tried making Indian style curry chicken once and it was a bit too strong for my taste. You can also find this curry mix in any asian supermarket, I think all korean moms stock it in their pantry lol!

and don’t feel bad about “sucking” at cooking haha I’m sure you don’t. I’m definitely not a pro, I just love food and making it gives me something fun to do and learn :) (Curry is basically the only thing I know how to make anyway haha!)

Designing a new layout for myself is definitely something I have a hard time with as well. I can easily design something great for someone else but when it comes to my own… I feel like there’s an added pressure to go balls to the wall… but then usually I don’t want to waste the time that would take on something for my personal use. =P Ahhh the woes of graphic designers. Haha!

I think the point of goals for stopping certain habits and rituals in life is not to actually stop them, but to minimize them so they aren’t as badly affecting your life as they could be, so good job!

Dark Knight was okay. It definitely was overhyped, as Sheila stated. I think for the most part it was an “introduction” of some sort, just judging by the ending. I will admit that Heath Ledger played the part pretty well, the rest of the characters were dull, though.

I have never read Life of Pi either! Don’t hang your head in shame, it’s okay! Also, I can’t imagine not buying books or makeup for that much time. It is seriously an addiction with me. And if the stuff got to your door in May it totally does not count, haha!

LOL @ your poor egg tart story, oh my goodness. Life of Pi? Not missing out on much. And I’m worse since I haven’t seen some really good movies and apparently I’m missing out (I won’t say which movies because it’s THAT shameful that I haven’t watched them by now). I love cilantro, esp in salsa and Phnom Penh’s butter beef (c’mon, you gotta love it in that dish!) I can’t remember the Dark Knight so I guess it was O-K haha. And you def are your own worst critic, sigh.

HAHA awh, your egg tarts story made me laugh because that’s totally something I would do. Now. Not just as a child.

I have probably made 10 different headers for my blog in the past month. All of which I ended up hating. You really are your own worst critic!

Yea, they put up new carts, but I believe they have moved to a new location, somewhere close to Ikea now.

I’ve never read the life of pi either, that’s a book i’m planning to read one day.
I wish I had more willpower to stick to a budget. :irritated:

  20. You are definitely your own worst critic. Same reason it takes two hours for me to get dressed and finish make up, everyday. :-(

Bowl cuts can pretty much blamed for all that was wrong with my childhood. Haha

And it’s so weird how people either love or hate cilantro. I happen to love it but to others it tastes like soap apparently… which is just so odd.
