This is Chinese designer, Guo Pei’s collection from China’s Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2010 entitled, Thousand and Two Nights. It’s a beautiful and luxurious fusion of Chinese and Arabic design… and some killer shoes.

And here’s 12 inches of goodness for the shorter ladies out there.

this is a BEAUTIFUL collection, the architectural elements are crazy and the silhouettes love it .. can you imagine owning one of these pieces?!?!
not a fan of the shoes though reminds me of the old asian shoes so your feet won’t get wet or something like that and alexander mcqueen.

Ooh wowww, Kooty! You know how much I love statement heels that are cringe-worthy to look at. Those will seriously injure someone but they’re so fierce. Love the extravagant designs in other pieces too!

Thanks for the very sweet comments on my blog!
I feel the same, i used to buy loads of other brands too, and they just sat at the bottom of the pile. So now i stick to MAC, illamasqua and makeup for ever.
your blog is amazing btw!!!

Some of those are gorgeous, I love the first and fourth of the second column, stunning! I’m not usually interested in the clothes on the catwalk but those are something else.

This is a stunning collection, though. I especially love the 7th photo, where the pattern reminds me of porcelain china

Those are beautiful! Very high-end couture.
The shoes remind me of Alexander McQueen’s designs and the last picture to the left, John Galliano’s.
I’ve never heard of Guo Pei, but I really really like what I see!

omg everytime i think i have picked my favorite, i see another detail on some other pic that i love! but if i had to pick my faves they would be…3rd place: the golden because it reminds me of Belle from Beauty in the Beast. 2nd: the short purple, looks like she’s a fun flirtie ballerina or ice skater. 1st: the snow blue to the right of the golden. the way the blue melds into white is amazing, plus her skirt looks like she’s holding a giant lace fan in her tiny hand!! i want it!! lol like i would actually wear it…… -___-
the colors in that palette seem pigmented until you blend them out, then it’s just a bunch of shimmer and i can barely tell one color from the other. the black is fine though : ) they are really pretty, but don’t work well with each other i think.

Ahh, love love love love love! Those are some gorgeously detailed fancy-pancy designs
My favorite is the 4th one down from the right (the one with the dangly things from the head), it’s so structured yet elegant.
