US is getting bigger in the states and more kids are taking it out… being such a big country compared to us and with such a larger population, you guys would eventually have a bigger pool of talent to choose from, making you better than us.

You’d be soooo disappointed if you tried to watch regular season NHL though. It’s so not as exciting as Olympic hockey.

I was super excited when I found out that Canada beat the US in hockey (and in overtime too!) and won gold! My friends all think I’m a traitor because I’m rooting for Canada, even though I live in the US (but I grew up in Toronto, so there). I just wish I could be in Canada now and be a part of all this excitement.

You’re so lucky you’re in Vancouver Katy! It must have been crazy to party during the Olympics Yah it was totally crazy here too in Toronto after the game on Sunday. It was sooo much fun! A bit nerve wrecking but a few pints of beer helped LOL. Great pictures!

It was a glorious 2.5 weeks while it lasted, wasn’t it?

I was HORRIFIED when the US team tied the game…my eyes were popping and I had my hand covering my open mouth. But Sid the Kid–wow, what a goal!! Go Canada go!

Ouch that previous comment about how the US doesn’t even notice their hockey teams BURNS ME!! It makes me even happier that we won b/c such a country doesn’t deserve to win if they can’t even appreciate it!! Omg this was such an exciting 2 weeks and I’m so proud of our city and country.

GO CANADA!!! I almost cried when we won… I think it was one of the happiest days of my life. And downtown after?? INSANE!!! Could not MOVE! But it was so great to have everyone cheering for the same thing, so ecstatic of our gold win… so proud to be Canadian. I’m sad Olympics are over… but holy shit that was the experience of a LIFETIME!!! I’m so happy to be alive in 2010!

I was actually really surprised to hear that the US hockey teams played so well since hockey isn’t really that big over here, so silver is still nice. Or maybe that’s just me being a Californian where people forget we even have hockey teams in California.

But it was still fun watching it, although I watched the game by myself in my empty apartment with my laptop, half writing my poli sci paper and half following Twitter, so it was no where near the excitement you guys must have had at the party.

I didn’t end up going downtown because I’m too busy/too lazy. I harsh regret it! Grr, it became so hard trying to find Olympic gear and all I got was a Mukmuk and Quatchi key chain.

OMG, that hockey game was intense! I was screaming at the TV and I didn’t breath during the last minute of the third period. Sid the kid for the win!!

That game was so nerve-wracking.. when we won GOLD for men’s hockey, I cried so hard because I was so happy for our country.

p.s 14 gold medals for canada? Rockinnnnnnn ^^
