Old, Lazy & Boring
A couple years ago, boyfriend and I would go out and see every movie that comes out. We’d go out for dinner, lunches, brunches every chance we get. We always find somewhere to go on the weekends when we’re off work.
Nowadays, all I want to do it stay home and bum around. It’s a chore to even drag myself to the theatres to see a movie I’ve been looking forward to for months. We hardly go for our weekly dim sum dates anymore like we use to do too… because we’d rather sleep in on weekends.
Since I rescheduled my Asia trip, we were contemplating a trip to New York or Hawaii since we have a $50 flight to anywhere in the U.S. but we decided we didn’t want to go(!!). I’m actually excited to be in Vancouver this Christmas but I still can’t really believe I’m giving up this opportunity, especially with a 2-week vacation from work (that I didn’t ask for). Oh well, I’m an old woman now. Old women stays home with her books and Korean dramas.

Boy, do I know how you feel. I was just thinking the other night, “how the hell did Ralph and I have dinner out almost every night without going broke?”… That was like a year ago.. All we do now is stay home, study, and sleep. It’s ridiculous, I think we’re getting old. :O.. NOOOOOOOO

Haha, Keith and I used to do that too. Now we pretty much just stay home except for on Saturday night. We try and get our lazy asses out and about but even then we’re like, “ehhh…PJs and TV?” I have no idea how we afforded going out all the time. We complain about how expensive the bar is and we only go once a month, maybe.

Fridays are usually my going-out days but I loveee staying in Saturdays. It feels like such a waste to go party on a Saturday and be hung-over all Sunday… then you have to go back to work Monday.

No… we started getting lazy years ago but I never admitted to it. LOL. We say we’re going to see this movie and that movie but we never do!! I think it’s the weather too… I love winter but when it’s cold, I just want to curl up in my bed!

You could have went and taken the dramas with you!
But if I was in that situation, I would have probably been too lazy to go too.

It’d be such a waste to go to NYC or Hawaii and watch Korean dramas there. LOL =D

HAWAII. You must go one day with your boyfriend. I went this past August with my boyfriend and it was so So SO amazing. We miss it every day.
We used to go to movie theaters regularly too back when we first started dating but 5 years later it’s all about downloading and enjoying them at home haha
And I totally watch 24 and Grey’s!!! I told you I’m a coach potato hehhh. I’ve been a fan of 24 since the beginning, although admittedly I prefer the older seasons for some reason. I’m still excited for this upcoming season in January. I find that I enjoy 24 most when I watch the episodes consecutively, it feels more realistic that way and doesn’t lose momentum haha
And UGH Grey’s!! I love Grey’s. Despite the mess of the Izzie/George season (was it last season or the one before that?), I think I’ve been enjoying this one. The first 2 are the BEST for me and their episode music is amazing

Yeah the last couple seasons of Grey’s really started going downhill but I still love the show… but Lizzie’s character was the only one that I really didn’t like.
You definitely have to watch 24 consecutively… I don’t understand how people can wait between episodes. I think I’d die!! I googled those shows after reading your blog and so glad that I didn’t start watching Grey’s because there’s a break during Christmas. I think that happened last year too and I was sooo sad.

It’s more important to spice it up than to go out. If you’re really lazy, you could just eat in but in a different room, or make up a dining table for dim sum at home, etc. I’m usually broke, which makes me incredibly creative. I typically prefer staying in (to me, going out was always about meeting dudes, basically) but I like to get out and go to movies, run errands, etc., just because I work at home, so I need times to dress up!

Well the thing is that I’m never bored when I’m home… I guess that’s the good thing about having so many hobbies; I always have something to do hence that’s probably why I like staying in so much now. BUT if I worked at home like you then I’d probably get bored too. Those are some great tips btw, you should blog about that.

Hahaha i know what you mean! I love me my Korean Dramas and would rather stay home and watch em then go out and do anything else. We are on the same level here! LOL!

Oh geez. I’m going to drag you and T out. You lazy bums. He may be getting old, but you’re not. (heh heh, don’t tell him I said that). I’m lazy right now too. But I think I am only because it’s winter and I’m mortified of the cold. I have phases. I hope you wake up soon
You’re younger than me dammit!
