2009 was the year when my hair finally went back to normal. Gone are the reds, the platinum blonds… my girlfriends and I are finally growing up. Temporarily.
It was also the beginning of the end of my blog when I rediscovered K-Pop which took over my life.
I’ve also been working on a soccer development team the past year at work and I’ve learnt SOME things about it. My interest in it hasn’t gone up (again, to Boyfriend’s dismay) but I do love watching funny soccer videos on Youtube.
I also try to call it football now because one of the producers is so insistent on it (he’s obviously European).
Anyway, here are the 2009 blog highlights (check out 2008):
- 2009 Style Resolutions — 7/12 check.
- Charice Pempengco — The next Celine/Whitney/Mariah.
- My Last Supper — I LIVE FOR FOOD!!

- The Definition of Narcissism — a.k.a. “25 Things About Me.”
- The Kind of Reader I Am — Had to include something about books.
- Classy Hoe 101 — && SAY NO TO TUBE DRESSES… especially when you have a gut.
- The Portrait of 100 Famous People — This was the awesome-EST portrait I’ve ever seen.
- Things I Like About My Job — I really learned to appreciate my job more.
- Diet and EXERCISE Basics — This was the year I really got serious about my health and well-being.
- Asians Loves $$$ — Just a little reminder… because it’s true!!
Us, Asians aren’t greedy… we’re just practical.
2009 was an okay blogging year for me because I had MANY blocks and distractions even with 50+ drafts sitting on my dashboard. Frankly, 2008 was 10x better but hopefully I’ll do better next year.
HAPPY NEW YEARS EVERYONE!

This is such a wonderful idea! I am definitely enjoying going back and re-reading your favorite memories. It’s definitely something that I’ll have to do when and if I ever manage to keep a website open that long.

HAIR!!! I’ve never dyed my hair, but I’ve always considered playing around with different browns!
I didn’t really think about my last supper of 2009, but looking back, it was quite delicious. And that looks like poutine! I’ve never had some myself, but there is a place that has all-you-can-eat poutine and mussels near my university!

I can totally relate to the hair dying thing. I used to always have crazy bright colors, drastic haircuts and angles. Now it’s been my almost natural color for almost a year–definitely a sign of maturity, haha. I hope you had a nice New Year’s celebration.

I remember each and every one of those blog entries listed. I get it now, I was wondering why you went from blogging almost everyday (in 2008 when I first discovered your blog) to every few days this year. That K-pop!
Happy New Year Katy!
