Why I Love Apple
I found this comment on a Youtube video this morning:
“Apple is so successful because it makes beautiful, usable products and interfaces. I am a big fan of Apple for this reason, they know how to design.”

You have no idea how much money I spend trying out different skins for my gadgets… it’s not good being vain but I can’t help it!! I like my things to look hot and sexy like Apple’s products and interfaces. It’s not that I want to jump on the Apple bandwagon because it’s the “cool thing to do” but when you’re a designer, you appreciate these little things that makes using technology and user interfaces so much fun.
iTunes use to be my worst enemy but I’m starting to love it after trying out other programs and looking at their shitty interfaces and realizing how much more complicated they are compared to iTunes. I’m an avid Blackberry user (and touchscreen hater) but once Apple comes out with a phone with a QWERTY keyboard, bye bye RIM! The interface on the Blackberry just can’t compare to iPhone’s.
APPLE IS JUST SEXY. ♥ Perfect for the vain, like me.

i big time agree. i love my macbook to DEATH
it’s my first one too, and i’m never going back to PC.

PC, Windows, Linux… those are my world. But I would love to one day try Apple/Mac. I’m sure I would never go back.

Apple is sexy and it does the job! YES!

LOL you always make everything so pretty, kooty

This is exactly why people who convert to Apple/Mac never go back. Their products aren’t only sexy on the outside – their programs all have sexy interfaces as well, it’s absolutely amazing

I agree — apple definitely has the style and usability side down. My only grievance is that they also have a tendency to sacrifice functionality in doing so. They have been getting better about it though. For example, I think MacOS became down right fantastic now that they have it running on a Linux base — so the manics can dig in through the console as they like while the more novice users can use the beautifully designed interface. As you mentioned — the lack of a QWERTY keyboard seems to be the big drawback (and it’s a major one to me) for the iPhone. Not being able to replace the batteries yourself in the iPop just pisses me off to no end.

Sometimes you have to sacrifice functionality for designer especially if it’s a first generation product but it works out [for the company] because they can upgrade and add features = make us come back for more like Apple is doing. The iPod battery thing definitely does suck.. and I heard it only lasts about 2 years before it completely dies. My Touch’s 2 year anniversary is coming up and I use it about 8 hours a day during work so that’s not good. =(

My old school “mini” died really quick — like within six months. I think it was kind of a common thing though and apple improved the battery in the next generation. My nano still works but the battery life is getting noticeably short. I figure it doesn’t have way to much life left in it. With that said though, with the exception of not letting you change the batteries yourself, I love iPods. The battery part is a pretty big letdown, but the other benefits compensate enough where I still probably wouldn’t go with another brand for a mp3 player.

It is definitely fashionable, but I’ve got my Microsoft PC. I don’t know if I will ever change over though! I’m still stuck on my old ways.

So true! I love how cute my macbook is. XD
Apple is the luxury brand of the tech world.

Sexy things for sexy people.
…but the only Apple thing I have is the ipod. =P The rest, I just can’t afford.

That’s what I hate about Apple.. their stuff is so expensive!

I agree completely, besides user friendly interfaces, their ability to brand themselves is amazing (everything from their store design, product design, print/media advertising – it just reads hip and on the verge, no matter how you slice it).

Apple products are sexy but I just don’t think I could ever make the switch. I have friends with Macbooks and I can’t stand using them…. and like you said I would only switch to an iPhone if they got a QWERTY keyboard.

I guess you’re just not use to the OS on Macs … you can run Windows on them now though.

Man, Apple is my …… Even words cannot express how I feel about Apple. I can’t wait for Snow Leopard to come out, either.
My 1 year old Macbook is going to be replaced with the new 13 inch pro. I’m gonna miss the white polycarbonate, but I wanna try going Pro.

Thanks for visiting
I am not sure if my readers are notified if i reply to their post so I want to personally come back and say thanks! =P I’m definitely more conscious of my spending especially being 100% on my own and I just recently got credit card fraud so I’m going to write a post on that.
Boyfriend made the reservations for the NYC trip. I think we’re staying someplace decent like the Hilton in Times Square which is in the middle of everything so it’s pretty convenient. I do like staying at the Hudson though and last time I stayed there, it was very nice. (dark wood furniture, sleek, chic and very modern)

I also love Apple but my laptop isnt’ dead yet so i can’t justify a new purchase like that yet. But I do love the ipod touch (contemplating getting one) and if the iphone ever got a qwerty keyboard or something like the blackberry pearl – that’d be great. I just can’t do the whole touch phone thing. ughhhh.

We were loaned out Macbooks in high school.. that’s how I got hooked on them. But I have an HP laptop. But oh my lord, what I wouldn’t give for a Macbook Pro!

I can understand and respect the hypes about a mac… but in the end… it’s still just MAC… the label is the thing that is the selling point. Though I own a macbook pro, I still use my windows based desktop… both has its pros and cons, and I can relate to how much of a “hobby” this becomes, getting the skins and accessories for them. LOL

It is just the brand but I love it because the interface on their products are beautiful (inside AND out) and easy to use (I’m an interface designer). I still use Windows but not a fan of their interface and it’s confusing to find things at time even though I’ve been using it for so long. They definitely have their pros and cons… I did buy a PC over a Mac on my last computer purchase because so I can play games on it.

You just need an iPhone for at least a week. I hated my iPhone at first, got rid of it because I thought it was too much phone and wanted an actual keyboard…then I realized I can’t live without it. ALSO–I hate those stupid PC commercials where kids go into Best Buy to buy a laptop for under $2000. I’m like, “Dude, the Macbook is under $2000. You don’t need to buy virus scanners in the long run. Are you stupid?” I’m such an Apple fiend. :X

I totally understand what you’re saying. I think you put it the best way, too! It’s one thing to appreciate technology, because it’s what popular – but, when something like iTunes is as organized and wonderfully designed as it is, it’s hard not to appreciate and/or become addicted to Apple.

I have to admit that I haven’t used any of Apple’s products yet. Macbooks are way out of my budget and I’m sticking to Microsoft Windows for now. I might get an Apple PC in the future but I think it’ll be quite hard to get use to considering the fact that I’ve been using Microsoft for the past 10 over years. :scared:

Yay for Apple indeed! That’s my kind of computer too!

I’d hold out until the iPhone does 3 things…
1. Allows multitasking (should happen… BB can do it, iPhone has no reason not to)
2. Has a slide out keyboard (never going to happen, sadly, but you CAN get an external bluetooth keyboard)
3. Has a changeable battery (never going to happen, but the battery should last until you get tired of it and buy the next version anyways)
MacOS is beautiful, I just wish I could justify the cost of it… soon
