Twitter and Things

Blogging & Twitter, K-Pop, Ramblings, Visual Media

  • RIP MICHAEL JACKSON I’ll only say it here here because I never did on Twitter and lost a bunch of followers (dude, I KNOW! It’s the end of the world!!). Anyway, some of my favorite MJ songs are Billie Jean and Will You Be There. ♥
  • Whose going to be the next celebrity to pass and almost take the internet with them? I almost died because I kept on seeing a blank white screen on Twitter!! That’s when you really start appreciating Mr. Fail Whale because then at least you know Twitter is on it.
  • (NOTE: I started this entry in mid-May). Because of the recent earthquakes in L.A., I was thinking that if something catastrophic happened in Vancouver (eg. “THE BIG ONE“), I think the first thing I’d do is Twitter about it even if Richmond was sinking and a giant tidal wave was rushing to my house.
  • I love how Twitter’ers get soo shocked when you say that you’re “not in the mood for shopping.” But I guess IT IS QUITE SHOCKING.
  • Weird geeky “fetish” = blogs with the Blix Wordpress Theme (even though it’s all over the internet)! I think it’s a great first impression (especially for newer blogs) because the theme is so clean and it’s always been one of my favorites. Besides, a lot of the blogs I religiously follow once had the Blix theme up the first time I visited.

Oohh and I picked up Pillars of the Earth as per your suggestion in one of your previous blog posts and it’s SO GOOD. Thanks for suggesting it!

I’m still surprised that MJ died so young, but I am getting a little tired of repetitive media coverage on it. I mostly get tired of the media beating the dead horse with celebrity deaths such as Anna Nicole Smith, Heath Ledger, etc.

I’m still reeling from shock even though it has been more than a week since Michael Jackson has passed away. I couldn’t believe that a legend just left us. Despite all the negative publicity he was getting in in the past decade, I still feel very strongly for his songs and dances. I especially adore his socially-aware songs, like Heal the World, Will You Be There and Earth Song. Not to forget the classics like Billy Jean and Thriller. RIP, MJ :(

Speaking of Twitter, have you tried giving third party applications a try? TweetDeck, Destroy Twitter and Seesmic Desktop are a few examples, and they help you to wrap your mind around the conversations and etc.

I HAD to twitter about Michael Jackson because he was most definitely one of my favorite singers. Hell, I cried when I found out that he’d passed away! My favorite MJ songs were Billie Jean & Dirty Diana.

I love Blix as well! Also, I have your post of Korean pop songs bookmarked for next time I get bored. I used to love boybands (KTBSPA!!) and now I’m married to a Korean, so… seems like an OK fit. ;)

FORGET those people who unfollow you for not commenting on Michael Jackson. Unless you know him personally, it’s scary obsessive of people to get so so upset over a celeb death. When I saw your RT about fans committing suicide I almost pissed my pants. Like, really?? He wasn’t even near his prime anymore!

Omg the K-Pop scene is sooo addicting. Sometimes I think it’s best not to start if you’re not into it already. It seriously takes over your life!!

Yeah I don’t really care about how many followers I have on Twitter.. I was just saying. =P I get so annoyed with people who are constantly trying to increase their follower count!!

I stopped following both of them on Twitter… they’re soooo annoying!

RIP Michael Jackson :( I never twittered/facebook statused/blogged about his death, so instead, I’m commenting about it whenever I see a post about him.

Billie Jean is my favorite too. I’m right about to download some Michael Jackson songs too. And it IS weird when us shopaholics aren’t in the mood for spending, but I agree, it happens to all of us once in a while. It just sucks for me, when I have money, I’m not in the shopping mood, but when I’m broke, it’s all I want to do.

    Mr. Fail Whale?

That’s the first time I’ve heard it called that — it’s terribly cute. Did you perhaps just create a new internet meme?
