Don’t tell me she’s…

Professional bloggers don’t fill out surveys … thank god I’m not one. ;)
*Stolen from the oh-so-sexy-Pinkilicious-Pam!

Boys Over Flowers What is your current obsession?
Korean culture!! Actually, I’ve always loved Korean culture but my obsession just got another kick after finishing Boys Over Flowers.

What is your weirdest obsession?
There was a [very early] point in my life when I was OBSESSED with the WWE (when it was still called WWF)… so obsessed I would tape every WWE episode on TV. Can you imagine how high my stack of VHS tapes were? *hangs head in shame*

What are you wearing today?
Black boots, True Religion jeans, black tank (Mimi McQueen), white v-neck tee (Zara), gray short-sleeved cardigan (Mantique) and chains and necklaces.

What’s your favorite comfort food?
POUTINES that goes right to my ass. YUM.

What would you like to learn to do?
Learn how to cut/dye hair … and how to sew but haven’t been able to get my lazy arse to start that yet. Boyfriend keeps on nagging me because he wants me to hem his jeans but I’m like WHY DON’T YOU LEARN?! He’s so lazy! *shifty eyes*

GO CANUCKS GO!! What’s the last thing you bought?
Got “ko0ty” stitched onto my Canucks jersey. Most places only do caps and NO lowercase nor numbers which is all I wanted and they actually did it for me so I think I’m the only one around without caps on their jersey. :cheer: I was totally against all caps because “KOOTY” looks too much like “cutie.” Yuck.

What are you listening to right now?
Drunken Tiger – Stairs from Heaven

What is your favorite kind of weather?
Sunny but kinda cool outside— looks nice out yet I can still bundle up.

What is your most challenging goal right now?
Learning Korean. I’m only at “no” (anio). :|

If you could have three houses totally paid for and fully furnished anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Only three?! That’s hard. New York, somewhere in the English country side where I can raise horses and somewhere in Asia.

What would you like to have in your hands at right now?
A huge juicy poutine. Haven’t had one in months… I think I deserve one! :P

If you could swap lives with anyone for one day who would it be and why?
Someone extremely skinny so I’d eat the entire day and not have to feel guilty [for all the poutines, black bean chicken feet, carne asada fries, green mango popsicles and all that stuff I just consumed into his/her body]. But then it’s not my body… hmmm.

If you would go anywhere in the world for the next hour, where would you go?
I want to be in Korean on a Korean game show because they’re too freaking hilarious (but then any Asian game show is). I’m soo bored of North American culture. Zzzz. I’ve decided I want to move back to Asia sometime in my life but then I’d have to fully learn an Asian language first… I’m Chinese and can’t even speak it properly. *head is still down in shame*

Which language do you wanna learn?
Annyeong-haseyo! I want to watch Korean dramas without subtitles! If I do succeed (AHAHA), I wanna take a stab at Japanese too (AHAHA).

What do you look for in a friend?
Someone who will go out of the way for you, is trustworthy and doesn’t cause drama and hold grudges.

Who do you want to meet in person?
KIM HYUN JOONG. ♥ Sigh. I’ll have to make plans with my sexy Korean friend, *J, to go to Korea to stalk him. My only complaint is that Asian guys are too feminine and most of them are prettier me but then it’s accepted in their culture so I can get use to it. It’d benefit a lot of guys here too; GUYS, IT’S OKAY TO WEAR MAKE UP!

What’s your favorite type of music?
Old rock, K-Pop, R&B and country … and anything with a good beat.

backinskinnyjeans.com Any favorite blogger?
My favorites blogs at the moment are Pam’s, Cindy’s, Elena’s Tea at Trianon and Stephanie’s Back in the Skinny Jeans.

Things you wish you could change in the past?
I say don’t live with regrets… but that’s a lie because I do have ONE regret. When I was little, I had a loose tooth and was too scared to pull it out so a new one started growing behind it. If I wasn’t such a chickenshit when I was little, I would’ve had PERFECTLY straight teeth right now! You can’t really notice that one crooked tooth but still… I should go back to the past and beat myself up for being an idiot. :@

Fashion Pet Peeve?
Skinny jeans with converse shoes and Ed Hardy.

Do you admire anyone’s stye?
Nicole Ricchie, Victoria Beckham, Kat Von D and Michelle.

Describe your personal style?
I don’t have one defined style… I dress depending on how I feel AND how lazy I am that day. Lately, I’ve been obsessed with arm warmers and fingerless gloves after I found an old pair at the back of my closet so I’m going to work it until the weather gets too hot. THEN I’m going to try start a fan trend (idea stolen from Becca). LOL. BECCA, PLEASE JUMP ON THE BANDWAGON so we don’t have to suffer in the summer and in clubs when it gets soo hot. We may look like prissy bitches but they’re pretty and versatile so screw what everyone thinks. ;)

What’s your favorite ice cream flavor?
I’m boring so I can’t decide between chocolate and vanilla.

What’s your favorite makeup brand?
Mac for eyes and lips and Clinique/Dior for face.

Do you get enough beauty sleep? Yes or no? why?
No, I’ve probably been getting less than 6 hours of sleep every night for the past 9 years. Sleep is a waste of time (which is a hypocritical comment since I’ve just shortened my life span by a couple of years).

Why did you start your blog?
I’ve been blogging since I was 12! Wonder what I use to write about back in the day? Getting “high” (off-sugar) with my girlfriends after drinking Volt and stocking up on 5-cent candy at the corner store. And stuff like that.

LET’S GO TO L.A. THIS WEEKEND!! They’re at the Korean music festival at the Hollywood Bowl!!

    Ah.. saranghae sounds more familar.

Hey winter is perfect actually.. I have a week off work and I can take more vacation days before/after. If we do go then, we might stay in Asia longer since we were suppose to go there earlier this year but cancelled. What’s the weather like there then?

    REPLY

The weather in Korea? In the summer it’s rainy/muggy/sometimes cold monsoon season OR nasty hot/humid weather to the point that you are literally WET after stepping outside for two minutes.

Winter is fairly cold. The lowest it can get is probably like -7 to -10C. But lately winters here haven’t been that bad. It is probably around -2 to -5C average (I consider anything below -5C intolerable). It doesn’t snow a lot here, and when it does the most it will snow is like 3 inches.

Then again, that’s just in Seoul. Other parts of Korea could be about the same or colder/warmer than Seoul. Hope that helps.

My mom is half Korean so there was this phase when all she wanted to do was learn Korean. She still watches the Korean soaps but in addition to that, she’s go online and print out all these Korean language cheat sheets. Because of that, I know a few Korean words too.

I’ll admit. I was a hard. core. WWF fan too!! I thought Test was such a hottie and I loved D Generation X. =P

No worries, I’m American and can’t even speak English properly. Especially these days.

My only complaint is that Asian guys are too feminine

    Lord no, not in Japan.

I’m going to try start a fan trend

It’s not so much of a trend per se, but fans have always been in rather common use over here, even still with the young lot. Needless to say they have a massive of variety of really nice ones available. Maybe I should start an export business?

Hemming jeans? Yeah I tried that once… I completely ruined my jeans. Never again. Apparently, you’re supposed to practice first or something like that. Haha I used my favorite jeans on my first attempt. That’s something I regret.

I have a couple of fans. Maybe I can help you spread the trend in Seattle
I love your undying hatred for Ed Hardy. Haha

I agree with the whole bit of sleeping being a waste, but quite honestly I don’t feel I’m even FUNCTIONAL on less than 8. I’ll be drowsy all day and get a horrendous puffy eyelid and I’ll end up looking like Frankenstein. :fight: You’re so lucky you’re functional on 6.

I think we started blogging around the same time, too bad we didn’t find each other back then, so today, we can be like, “Omg we had each other linked since we were 12 and we’re STILL linked! INYOFACE.”

HOMG. I am so glad Boys Over Flowers is done airing here! I’m one of those weird person who actually doesn’t care about K-entertainment. K-dramas? Sick of them because they are the same thing over and over again in terms of screaming matches and crying festivals. K-Music? I’ll stick with the stuff I liked as a kid. K-anything else? No thanks. XD

But that’s cool you like it! And Korean isn’t exactly difficult, but reading/writing is tricky. At least for me. Even though I can’t really read/write Japanese, I think it’s easier if you just stick with Hiragana and Katakana. Japanese spelling in that aspect is not so difficult, unless Kanji comes into place. Korean spelling drives me nuts because it’s so tricky! But the speaking part isn’t so bad. :D You just have a lot of “blahblah-YO”.
