Check out part 1 of my My HG Make Up Products!

- Martinsville Emporium Lipbalms
Glides on your lips like butta, makes them shine like stars and they have a gazillion delicious flavors to choose from. Every time I put some on, Mochi tries to jump all over my face trying to get a taste of that yummy smelling scent; too bad for her to are all unsweetened which is good for you or you’ll be licking it off all day too. My favorite it the lemon meringue.
- MAC Phloof
I’ve been meaning to buy Phloof for years (yes, years.. I’m that lazy) and I finally got around to it a couple weeks ago. I love Shroom as a highlighter under the brow but I love using the pinkish and shimmery Phloof all over my lid.
- Benefit Hoola Bronzer
I’m always on the look out for a good bronzer and the BFF introduced me to this one (I was using Laura Geller before which I still love). Benefit has another plus— their packaging is so cute! There is nothing more nastier than seeing a girl with two orange blotches on their cheeks (especially if it’s not blended properly) so a good bronzer is important!
- Christian Dior DiorSkin Forever Compact
I hate wearing heavy foundation so when I do, I’ll use DiorSkin Forever compact. I use to be a real lover of mineral foundation but this compact is what more convenient because I don’t like carrying a kabuki brush around with me. It’s lighter than foundation, it’s waterproof and it makes my face look flawless.
- MAC Mythology
I love Mythology! It’s a very pretty rusty-looking color… I don’t use it alone but I do love blending it with other colors (eg. looks great with black for a smokey eye).
- Ardell Gisele Runway Lashes
If I could wear ONE pair of eyelashes for the rest of my life… these Gisele lashes would be my first choice. I own like 20 pairs of them because I’m afraid of running out. Um. Who wouldn’t want lashes like Gisele’s?
- Coastal Scents Concealer Palette
I still haven’t found the perfect concealer yet but so far, this CS palette is my favorite. I love how you can blend the different shades to find one that matches your skin tone and it’s super affordable. I’m not a huge concealer user (always forget to put it on) but this palette might change that.

I loooooove Phloof eye shadow too. I like putting it in the inner corners/tear duct area. Same with Nylon eye shadow. Do you have that? I love both of those as a highlight under the brows & the inner corners.
I’ve tried a lot of Ardell Runway lashes but I don’t remember using Gisele. Might have to give it a try since you say you love it so much. [=

I like the mythology. I should pick up more shadows/shades.
Rag on me later…but what the heck is phloof? =/ I’m like a makeup virgin, I only started wearing base, as of this year, 2009. I’m a sad story, I know.
Um..while we’re on the subject, concealer is for…?

Phloof is an eye shadow! It’s a frosty white color with a hint of pink.

Oh damn sorry girl I missed your concealer question. Concealer has more coverage and can hide imperfections like scars, redness, under eye circles, etc.

Oh, I have never tried bronzer before but my friend told me Benefit blusher is good as well. But it’s kind of expensive. I might will try it when I have some spare cash on hand.

i don’t know how to use a lot of this stuff. i try to experiment with make-up but i honestly have no idea what i’m doing and what brush is for what .. and which to put on first. haha. sad. but i like mythology. i only have mac eyeshadow cause i love the colors.. but i usually use sketch. its a pretty purple
i would definitely buy fake eyelashes and have 20 pairs too.. the only thing is that.. i have no idea how to put them on. i’ve probably tried a bajillion time but all unsuccessful. maybe i have deformed crooked eyes? lol

The trick to learning make up is experimenting and watching online tutorials… I have no idea why people go to school for make up. It’s a waste of money IMO.
I usually only use Mac eye shadows too and ignore the other brands… it’s just because I always have the palettes opened and all the shades I need right there.
Don’t worry.. falsies are SUPER easy to put on once you practice. START NOW!!

Thanks..I’ll probably buy those
I need primer. I’ve never used primer. lol. I didn’t really know what it was for. Does it make the appearance better? or Will it make makeup stay on longer?

It makes my make up last longer… like my eyeshadow will last the entire day (or a night out) with no creasing/smudging. Works wonders! Eye primer also makes the colors pop out more; try applying make up on one eye with UDPP or some other primer and one without… you’ll see the difference!

Shame on you, Katy! I went to check out the lip gloss and ended up spending $50!
Also, thanks for the help with falsh lashes (I e-mailed you a month or so for advice)…they ended up looking perfect and were a lot more comfortable that I thought they would be!

Your welcome… for making you shop. I ALWAYS encourage shopping and wasting money on materialistic or vain ventures.
Take a pic with your falsies on!

You can’t really tell I had them on! That’s why I liked them so much…I only used the medium…I didn’t want to look TOO dramatic, it’s a garden wedding

Wow they look so natural!! I love it!
I usually only wear falsies when I go out at night so I like them super dramatic but for my wedding, I’d probably want something a little more natural too.

Hmmm a little bit… except the lipbalm and the fake eye lashes. If you want a good and pigmented eye shadow that’s not as expensive as Mac, you can try the NYX or Coastal Scents eye shadow palettes.
