The Definition of Narcissism Pt. 3

  1. When Obama stepped out of his car during his inauguration parade, my heart was pounding because I thought he’d get assassinated.
  2. When I’m drunk, I can get really really emotional.
  3. I’m fascinated with conspiracy theories, the paranormal, death, past-life stories and everything unexplained.
  4. I love the excess of the 18th century. I love the long trains and slim silhouettes of the late 19th century. I love the fashion boom of the roaring 20′s. I love the Hollywood glamour of the 50′s.Fashion
  5. My least favorite fashion era is probably the 80′s; there were some likeable trends that came out of it but also lots of atrocious ones as well. Shoulder pads? Neon colors? Acid-washed jeans? Shell suits (I swear my parents each had one)? Too bad a lot of them are making a comeback but totally not my thing.80's FashionGirlicious

So you’re an emotional drunk huh? I’m totally not. I’m the calm one who takes care of everyone and likes to listen to people. I’m like Oprah. I think we’d get along drunk.

I’m so with you on not liking the fashion trends of the 80s! I personally prefer the mod styles of the 60s. :)

    REPLY

Actually I only rarely get emotional… but I can and do get emotional sometimes. I’m usually the most sober one making sure everyone doesn’t make complete fools out of themselves as well because I never let myself get really drunk.

But at least we can laugh at the drunk people together. :P

I hate the 80s fashion, however shame on me I like neon stilletos. Only in stilletos though.

Omigosh, #11, ME TOO! I’ve mostly overcome that paranoia, but it still gets me sometimes when I see him in big wide open public spaces… o_O

I love natalie from girlicious, she’s the hottest!!!! hate that blonde bitch that looks like she’s an uglier version of hilary duff LOL..

but yeha, whats with the 80′s and the neon colors/shoulder pads? who came up with that idea?

10 – 20 years from now OUR kids will probably think our style was whack when they look back at our pictures ..haha

    REPLY

I love Natalie too! Her and Chrystina are a hot pair! From the reality show, I think Nicole (the blond one) is probably the sweetest and least fake IMO.

Yeah I can see our kids totally dissing our style… but I don’t think we’re dressing THAT atrociously… are we?

    REPLY

im pretty the people in the 80′s didn’t think they were dressing atrociously…but they were, there were.

I thought I was the only person in the world who liked Girlicious! No one seems to really know who they are. I liked their single “Like Me” & I’m super surprised it hasn’t really hit the radio waves, yet.

I’m a stupid, slutty drunk. The first thing that pops into my head is “who’s the hottest guy here?”. It’s embarrassing, and I feel ridiculous the morning after.

My friend is an emotional drunk. I LOVE it. It’s so hilarious. She’ll be laughing one minute & then crying the next.

I also felt the same way about Obama. Every time he’s on telly or in public or speak or just ANYWHERE, I wonder if some idiot racist bastard will go insane and shoot him. It freaks me out to the core.

OMG I loveee Girlicious! The reality show was one of my guilty pleasures and if it wasn’t for it, I don’t think I’d know who they are (obviously). I’m so glad the four of them won though; they were all PERFECT together. It’s like a union of hotness (not so much talent though). LOL.

I’m not that much of an emotional drunk… I’ll start crying out of nowhere once in a while if we’re talking about something that triggers those emotions.

I would love to go back to any of those times mentioned in #14. Everything was so extravagant~ even the men dressed handsomely! & lol.. shoulder pads. my mom had some in her wedding dress! pretty crazy fashion era.

have you seen any of those videos that show all of these weird skeletons of fairies, mermaids, giants, deamons
& UFOs and other creepy stuff.. (lol there’s a bunch)? i think they’re fake, but at the same time i question myself a lot too. I’ll sometimes get carried away and watch that stuff for hours.

    REPLY

I remember playing with my mom’s shoulder pads too in her clothes when I’m snooping through her closet.. I usually take them out and throw it somewhere.

No I haven’t seen any of those videos, but now that you mention it, I’m definitely going to look into it. They are most likely fake but still interesting IMO.

What an awesome blog! Haha, I like how silly Juliette Lewis looks – she does go over the top on the American Apparel stuff

Is that a John Singer Sargent painting on the bottom right? I looove his work :)

    REPLY

    Thanks girl!

I have no idea who the painting is by.. it’s of some 18th century aristocrat.

John Singer Sargent’s paintings ARE beautiful though!

Oh God…I was exactly the same about Obama. I was in uni that day so couldn’t watch it but checked the news every five minutes. I was so nervous. And I’m the same about fashion, I love some periods so much whereas there are some that make no sense – though I suppose that could be said of our era by people 50 years into the future. I’m actually going to be studying this for uni this semester, so yay :)

    REPLY

I’m a mixture of emotional/loud/crazy and sometimes “classy drunk” (I never let myself look like a fool).

Do you mean the book 2012 or the big Doomsday thing that’s suppose to happen? I actually don’t believe in it because look at 2000… I was expecting some excitement like the world blow up or something but nothing happened. :(

If anything does happen, I bet it will be Global Warming related. :@

    What about you?

I have great memories of the 80′s fashion and hairstyles….my favorite was the huge teased hair! I remember bawling all night cuz my mom wouldn’t let me have the crazy high bangs like my best friend.

Scary that it is coming back! as long as they don’t bring back the shoulder pads of hell!
