I just had to write an entry about how I’m in LOVE with Christian Louboutin’s Marie Antoinette inspired shoe since I have a fascination with everything and anything related Marie-Antoinette and the style of the era she lived in.
Christian Louboutin put sex on heels and made women beg for more more more with his collections. First came the Tina, the Pigalle, the Anemone and oh yes that collection of sexy spikes for Rodarte. Now he’s at it again and this time, now matter how much you beg for more, he’ll give you just 36, shoes that is.
The mastermind behind the red soled shoe has teamed up with world-renowned embroiderer Jean-Francois Lesage, in a marriage made in French royalty heaven, to create an extremely limited edition Marie Antoinette-inspired shoe collection. “How limited?” you ask. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but to answer you question, only 36 will be sold. Yes 36! That means in order to slip your feet into one of these decadent shoes that look good enough to eat, it will cost you a pretty penny. The shoes will retail for $6,295 each but are worth it for any Louboutin collector. Each pair will be stamped with a limited-edition number, a specially designed box along with a book illustrating the collaboration process.

The Marie Antoinette inspired Christian Louboutin shoe collection will make its debut at the Christian Louboutin boutique in South Coast Plaza then make its way to the Louboutin boutique on Madison Avenue on February 26. For a collection like this, having a sugar daddy who can buy you everything doesn’t look so bad huh? If you are one of the lucky few to snag a pair, please take a picture and send it my way.

If I were to buy them, I’d be too scared to wear them. I’ll probably just stare at them all day… and because that’s the case, I’m going to save myself some money and just stare at the pictures.

I like his collection of flats (I dont like heels as I’m already tall) but 6G’s for shoes to just to look at (or hide away in a closet) I’m not to sure about.

Oh, those shoes are nice and sexy! But do you think it’s possible to walk in those kind of shoes? They are so high…
My bf likes these kind of shoes but I said I wouldn’t know where and when I would walk in them. Haha, and I’m afraid it hurts.
I think those shoes are just good for lookie. ^^

Your lucky …. you should get your BF to buy them for you. LOL JK!
I don’t think I’ll be able to walk in them either… they’re wayy to high and I’m use to my tiny heels and flats.

Holy crap! That is intense.
I love the little ship sitting on top.

Alright, I don’t love the shoes, but I don’t like elaborate/gaudy things for the most part, so that’s just me. I DO, however, love that they took inspiration and applied it, clearly, to their line. Very cool.

can you even wear these??

It’s gorgeous!!!! Too beautiful to be worn though, can be admired but I think it will break my heart if it gets dirty when I’m wearing it.

OMG. The shoes are amazing!
but the retail price is equally heart-stopping. Makes me want to contemplate getting a sugar-daddy for real. Shoes are my weakness.

I love the fashion and period in which M. Antoinette lived. However, I think those shoes are awful. No matter how much I like Louboutin’s shoes, and Manolo’s and everything…sometimes it’s too much, and I’m pretty sure those shoes would give me a thousand blisters leaving my feet wishing to be guillotined.

Those are TOTALLY something Marie Antoinette herself would probably rock. Very cool. Very royalesque.

Oh my gawd! I am gonna sell my life’s possessions and empty my savings for this pair. Or maybe, use my credit card? But I don’t have such a huge credit limit. Sob.
So I will just ogle at this pair for now.

Everything about Marie Antoinette makes me happy! I love reading all the fictions and biographies, and I have the movie. So interesting, really.
And she was a badass with her parties and sex and craziness.
I aspire to be like her. Lol.
