From J and added questions from other meme’s sitting in my drafts:
Name the item of clothing that has been with you the longest:
I have lots that that I keep but don’t wear anymore but I think my oldest article of clothing that I still wear would only be from 2006 which were my very first pair of Lululemon yoga pants with the pink band at the hip. I sweat in them and wash them a lot and they’re still in near-perfect condition with no pilling whatsoever. Now that’s good quality! I own more now but that pair is still my favorite (probably because it’s the only pair I bothered to hem while the rest are dragging at my feet— fashion faux-pas?).
Other than jeans, what’s an article of clothing that you can’t live without?
Black leggings of course.

What was the last item of clothing you bought?
DKNY t-shirt, $50. I didn’t really want this shirt… I just bought it because we were in the store and boyfriend was buying something and I felt left out.
Describe your perfect winter & summer footwear:
Winter: Any type of boots! Flats, heeled, ankle, mid-calf, slouchy, etc. etc. Summer: Gladiator sandals, flip flops or ballet flats.
And what’s a brand you wouldn’t recommend?
Clothing from stores like Urban Behaviour, Sirens, Stitches, Urban Planet, Mariposa, etc. Most of the clothing are made from cheap fabric that feels nasty against your skin (eg. acrylic) and they fall apart easily. Their clothes also smell funny. I guess you could say they are equivalent to Forever 21 in the states but then we don’t have F21 here so it’s different!
What’s the ugliest trend of all time?
That’s easy, Ed Hardy. When I walk into stores like Bootlegger, they have a wall of Ed Hardy, CA, Affliction, etc. and it makes me cringe every time I see it.
And the best?
Jeans tucked into boots!!

What was your biggest fashion faux-pas?
I had bright pink track pants when I was a kid which I wore them with a yellow Power Rangers sweater. I also had a bright green wind breaker.
What colors predominate in your wardrobe?
Black and purple.

What are your vintage shopping strategies?
I’m a newbie vintage shopper and still learning. Advice anyone?
What’s the most insane piece of clothing that you have ever owned?
Bright pink leggings. Don’t worry. I don’t wear them.
If you could describe the majority of the clothes you own in one word, what would it be?
Diversified …because I don’t have a definite style. I’m a floater.

Lol that actually looks pretty hot.. I definitely can’t pull it off though but I have to admit, I have hot pink leggings too which I bought because they were only $2. I haven’t worn them yet though and don’t know if I ever will. You know what I think will be a hot look though? Slashed black leggings + hot pink or red leggings underneath.

I think the item of clothing that I’ve had the longest is a pair of yoga pants too, though mines don’t look new at all. In fact, they are all worn out. They were dragging until I ghetto-ly cut the bottoms off with a pair os scissors and just left them.
That faux pas sounds, interesting. I used to have a windbreaker that was neon green, pink, yello and blue. Wore it when I was in elementary. How could parents let us leave the house like that? lol.

You know that neon colored windbreaker I had? It was my parents!! My dad had a green one and my mom had a purple one they got in HK and I use to wear it because I thought the colors were pretty.

How do you get your lululemon’s to stay pill-free??? I have to attack mine with a de-piller (sp?) every month or so!
ps. Lululemon does free hemming on all their pants, it’s just a pain to have to go back a few days later and not get to wear them right away!

I have no idea… I guess I got my first pair before the quality of their clothing started going down so I guess it’s still pill free. My newer ones are okay but I haven’t had them for as long to compare.
Yep Lululuemon does free hemming but I usually get them as gifts and I’m too lazy to go to the store.

I love the three-column layout!
And I’m exactly the same – most of my wardrobe is black, followed by purple and grey and then I have the odd splash of colour like red or green with a dash of white in there somewhere

LOL at your biggest fashion faux pas! Oh well… you were young. I once worse a green shirt with Barbie drawn on it with red shorts and ballet shoes and topped off the disaster with a flowery hat. I’m surprised my mom didn’t say anything!
And I’m really glad you don’t wear the bright pink leggings. Haha why did you get them? For Halloween?

You know what… I have no idea why I got the pink leggings. They were a cheap and impulse buy that I just grabbed off the shelf without trying on because the pink was actually a pretty color. Maybe I’ll wear it one day if I ever find the guts to… or if I tone down my legs first so they aren’t tree trunks! I think some girls can pull off colored leggings really well… I wish I was one of them.

Oh gosh I can a major fashion disaster sometimes, especially when it’s laundry day or if I woke up late.
For vintage, recently I “borrowed” my mom’s sweater. Years ago, I remember saying that it’s an ugly old lady sweater and my mom was like “Noo, it’s a beautiful sweater!” Now I love it and I’m wearing while she’s on vacation…

Me, I’d settle for a nice simple Lacoste shirt, the nice quality ones with the good cuts and pastel colors. *heh*

& Protein drinks do give you energy, but not too much. There are other supplements you can take to boost your energy before you workout. It’s typically used to repair your muscles, bones, and cells. I usually take it after I workout because I don’t want to burn it off when I do cardio. If I start taking it in the morning, it will have time to settle before I work out.

I’d recommend getting the Isopure kind. They have one that’s low carb & one that’s no carb. If you’re going to take it after you workout, the no carb would be best. If you taking it before working out, get the low carb.

Or so I thought until one day, I wanted to wear boots and jeans, and then I couldn’t put on my jeans after I put on my boots and I couldn’t put on my boots under my jeans after I put the jeans on either. I just stuck with shoes that day.

Aw I love it! I just don’t like it when girls totally whore out the style. For example, super tight jeans with a tight, low-cut cleavage top. It’d look better if the top was looser or not as revealing; there’s a difference between looking sexy AND classy verses sexy and WHORISH.
