I finally got my lip balms from Martinsville Emporium!! They are super moist (I like to call it “lip gloss wannabe lip balm“), glides on your lips like butta and doesn’t leave that icky white film on your lips, plus there are so many flavors to choose from. I only ordered 6 but I’m probably going to order more because I’m in LOVE with these.. I just wish they tasted as good as they smell. ♥ …Imagine a lip balm MADE OF REAL FOOD… now that’ll be crazy (and moldy when I find it under the seat of my car 6 months later).

Lipbalm

Lime Sugar Supreme – My favorite! Keylime pie is my favorite dessert so this lime flavored lip balm is definitely my new HG of lip balms.
Toasted Marshmallow – Smells delicious but I think this is a flavor that I’ll get sick of if I use too much… kind of like how I can only eat like 3 marshmallows before I puke all over you.
Margarita – I love this one too because it has a hint of citrus scent but where’s the tequila? It would be hilarious if you can get drunk off a lip balm (and I can totally image some people doing it).
Lemon Meringue Pie – My second favorite since lemon meringue pie is my second favorite dessert.
Buttery Toffee – Very strong buttery smell.. smelling it is such a sin and makes me feel fat because it’s so damn buttery. Thank god it won’t add extra pounds on you though.
Raspberry Plum – Smells like heaven but after having it on for a while, it started reminding me of the Strawberry flavored lip Smackers which makes me think I’m 7-years-old again.

Recent looks with recycled accessories because since I stayed at Boyfriends all week (he got the satellite to work again!) and like always, leave most of my stuff at home:

Looks

Today I officially canceled my 6-week vacation to Asia next year and I can’t change my mind because I already told my manager and he updated the schedule for next year. With all the stuff going on, I decided to stay home and go on vacation next year instead. Boyfriend is still going to Vietnam though and I feel bad because we were suppose to travel around Asia together but he understands. The sucky thing is that WE HAVE TO GO TO EUROPE NEXT YEAR!! :@ No offense, but I have no interest in going to Europe at all… I just want to go to Asia [and Africa]. If I can’t have grilled squid, deep fried octopus, bubble tea and laugh at people carrying fake designer handbags (oh wait, I can do that here) while walking around the streets late at night, then I don’t want to go there. Boo. I guess they can wait though, I guess Europe will be fun too. If we do go to Europe, I want to visit some haunted castles.

Things I Love

Things I Love

Leanne has a recurring Things I Love entry that I meant to steal from her a long time ago. Then today I discovered that J did a twist on Gala’s Things I Love Thursday. Here are the things I love:

  • Kaila Yu Funky and bold hair color. Inspired by Gala’s bright pink rocker hair, I want to dye my hair… purple … like an anime character! Well, more like Kaila Yu (pictured). I’m going to keep my red hair until after New Years though so we’ll see if I have the guts to go through with that (or I can just buy a wig).
  • Interesting Blogs. I added 7 new blogs to my RSS reader today. I’m going to scan through their archives when I have time but I can’t wait to read future entries!
  • Boots My booties. I’m obsessed with my new (well one month old) ankle boots with a funky studded cuff— very rocker-ish yet still chic. On top of that, these only have a 1.5in heel so they’re super comfortable and looks great with a pair of skinny jeans or tights… AND I can wear them in the presence of my Asian (a.k.a. short) Boyfriend.
  • New denim. Most of my jeans don’t even fit me snugly anymore which [is good in a way but still] totally sucks; to stay positive, I’m going to take advantage of this and just this as an excuse to shop! This is perfect timing because I’m heading to the new Rock and Republic outlet in SoCal in a couple weeks (and will also save some for the TR outlet too)!! Love, love, LOVE! Screw everything in Cali, this is going to be the highlight of my trip. I already warned Boyfriend not to get mad at me if I overspend just a little bit. ;)
  • A Song of Ice and Fire series by George R.R. Martin. My day usually consists of work, drive home and experience a little road-rage, eat, make phone calls to clients and more work, read blogs, head to gym, head to boyfriends and then read till 3am (except on Thursdays when I squeeze Grey’s Anatomy in there). I’m only on book 2 of the series, but it’s totally worth staying up late to read (sigh, there just isn’t enough time in a day).

Dude, I’m so cool.

Blogging & Twitter

The Coolest Blog powered by WordPress competition got me thinking: WHAT THE HELL IS COOL? The competition in itself is extremely vague because everyone’s definition of cool is different. Is it the design that makes it cool? The blogger’s personality? The writing style?

Cool

Nicely designed blogs are super cool but to me, a “COOL” blog to me is more about the blogger.

Funny, witty, makes me laugh my ass off and accidently bang my head against my keyboard. Tiff, Helga and Jen are THE cool.

Strong, in-your-face personalities that will probably intimidate-the-hell-out-of-you-in-real-life-yet-you-can’t-help-but-admire-them. First person that comes to mind? PINK a.k.a. the Asian-Kendra-Wilkinson (I hope she doesn’t kill me for writing that). But seriously, I love K-Dub (except when she tries to rap :o ).

People who inspires me to look good: beauty/fashion blogs! As an added bonus, these blogs usually come with extremely sexy people and since when was sexy not cool? J, J(es), K(im) and L just to name a few out of a gazillion I read daily.

Design blogs where the writer really interacts with their readers and gives off a “nice” vibe. I lurk a million design blogs, too intimidated to comment but I think John and Jacob’s are the only ones I ever hesitantly left a comment or two on. I’m not saying the rest of them aren’t nice, I’m just saying that they all intimidate me because they’re so damn talented! Maybe if I actually had a design blog of my own and not one of these personal blogs with a lot of LOLZ and HAHAHAZ, I would comment on more of them.

Sorry, I know I missed a gazillion cool blogs out there but it’s 4am and I gotta sleep. I guess if you want a list of cool blogs, check out my blogroll (which I still have to update… sorry!). :P

…Wait, I guess I’m wrong. Cool is apparently in Iowa.
Cool

SEX4URHAIR

Fashion, Hair & Make-Up

One horrible day, I washed my hair and when it was dried and straightened, it was still all frizzy, broken and just plain nastay-looking. To make it worse, SOMEONE (*ahem* Boyfriend) didn’t tell me I was suppose to go to a salon opening that night so I had no choice to go with this dead rat on my head because I was given no time to get ready… talk about embarrassing! One of Boyfriend’s sister-in-laws, whose an esthetician, came up to me with a look of utter disgust and started touching my hair, probably wondering what the hell happened to it, and recommended me THE FREAKING HOLY GRAIL OF ALL HAIR PRODUCTS … DAVINES!!!

My hair has gone through hell (whole head bleached, highlights, coloring, teasing, digital perms, flat-iron abuse for 8+ years, etc. etc) but I swear on this stuff… IT WORKS!! My hair is SUPER soft and shiny now and is even starting to grow again. It’s probably different from person to person but I started seeing results after the first time I used it. The smoothing products also took away most of the frizz from my hair and I literally don’t even have to straighten it anymore which is a first… in like 8 years (but I still run my flatiron through my hair because I want it super-straight).

The bottles are small and a tiny bit pricey but you only need a little bit of shampoo because it lathers really well. As for the conditioner, only use a little bit at the tips of your hair but if you’re going to use it on the roots, beware because it may get really oily over time. On top of that, the products all have a wonderful fresh scent from all the natural extracts it contains. Mmm.

I usually go with a friend (with a beauty license) to a wholesale distributors’ to get my Davine products for a lot cheaper than where you can buy it anywhere else, but if you can’t, you can get these wonderful products at Folica.

My hair hasn’t been this healthy in so long… and last time it was, I took advantage of it and went to the salon to bleach my whole head right away. I swear I won’t do it again this time.
