This weekend I:
- Fell in love with the weather when it became cold and wet… time to pull out the jackets, scarves and boots!! Actually I already started weeks ago… when it was still sunny. I’m sorry but I couldn’t wait any longer. Anyway, I’m lucky I’m not in school anymore or else I’d be complaining 24/7 since I’d be bussing in the rain!
- Pigged out like crazy and gained back all the weight I lost (when Boyfriend went on vacation). This is what happens when you have a boyfriend… all you do is eat. Plus his mom’s home-cooked Vietnamese food is sooo good.
- Went for dim sum and FINALLY got my chicken feet. Mmm. Total satisfaction.
- Went to an Asian supermarket and went crazy with junkfood, green tea, snacks …and 2 chickens.
- Watched Traitor, Pulse (retarded but I was in a mood for a “scary” movie) and Nim’s Island. Nim’s Island has been on PPV for weeks and I can’t believe I never watched it until now… it’s one of those guilty pleasure kids’ movies that I love.
- Had the most satisfying bubble tea. Ever. At Bubble Queen in Richmond.
- Learned how to say “I don’t know how to speak Vietnamese” in Viet because some people in Boyfriend’s family keep on forgetting and I’m just standing there nodding awkwardly and pretend I know what’s going on while they babble away… then I run away when they turn around. Now my Viet vocabulary has expanded from “eat rice,” “go home,” “pussy-face” and “noodles.”
- Went on a hunt for Asian fashion magazines.
- Resisted the temptation to buy more books. It was hard because even Boyfriend was nice about it when I said I wanted to go to Chapters (since it IS my third home). He usually complains and acts as if it’s the end of the world.
- Worked, worked, worked and worked. Managed to roll out 4 mock ups.

Mochi a little frazzled after rolling around my bed and needing a hair cut (I was washing my sheets so that’s why my bed is bare).

Cutest little girl ever! ♥

=/ i have a question, because a lot of wordpress blogs like this make peole register for privileges like commenting, or a picture with a comments etc. So I always wondered what the reason why people did that? I would love it if you could answer honestly. what are the perks?
there have to be perks right? because for people to register takes time, so instead many read rather than comment. tnx

Oh and also you don’t need to register to get a picture beside your comment. All you have to do is register your email address at gravatar.com and everytime you comment with that email, your avatar will appear as long as the blog has gravatar’s activated.

No perks, you only register IF you wanna read private posts because I like to know whose reading them. I occasionally give prizes away to registered users too but that’s about it… I don’t expect people to register but a lot of people actually do.

I love your red hair, btw
it’s so hard not to resist all the things at the Asian grocery stores – I went the other night and my bf and picked up so many random things, when all I needed was a bag of rice
it’s adorable that your dog’s name is mochi!

Sounds like you had fun times! Heh, it’s just getting Summer-y here, and I’ve been anticipating that for weeks now, funny! Even cooler is that my bf is Viet too and I also taught myself how to say ‘I don’t know how to speak Vietnamese’- I haven’t used it yet, because when I tested it out on him, he laughed, but its good to know I can. (Em kom bik noi tiiing viet, is that what you’ve got?)

Woman, you are too hot to handle! Never would’ve pinned you to be a game developer.
I agree with you in your last entry on fashion don’ts. Leggings as pants always puzzled me. That’s just ASKING for camel toe.

dude, i loveeeee going to asian markets!
every time i go, i always stock up on japanese candy, korean kimchi bowls, jasmine rice, huge things of soy sauce since my local walmart decided to stop carrying them, and cans of assam milk tea! i terribly miss living on guam because asian food was easily accessible and sooo cheap.

Very Asian weekend indeed! I need to go stock up on some Asian snacks myself. I’m always hungry when in my dorm, and I’m tired of school food. The dim sum sounds yummilicious too; yay for lovers of chicken feet!
By the way, did you end up finding/buying any Asian fashion magazines?

Damn I wish I lived in Asia.

Aww it sounds like you had a fun weekend! Your pup is absolutely adorable! And congrats on learning more Vietnamese. It’s always good to expand your language, especially if your boyfriend’s family speaks it! I wish I knew more Italian. =[

I’m not even Asian and I always have Asian weekends.
My favorite things:
- Sushi (Faves being salmon & unagi, not white girl Cali rolls thankyouverymuch)
- Bubble tea (Just found the best place next to our fave Korean place)
- Shopping at Uwajimaya. I love the Sanrio section only for Badtz-Maru. Real obsessions are kimchee & perusing Asian fashion mags & stationery.
That girl is super adorable and so is your dog! I don’t remember what kinda dog… gonna go search your archives now!
Love your latest pics BTW – your hair is amazing and I’m so jealous you can color it that way without damage, and your makeup is flawless.

Thanks girl! Mochi is 3/4 toy Yorkie and 1/4 Daxie… which is best of both world because I originally wanted a Yorkie or a Daschund. I’m not sure if I ever recorded that on my blog though.
I love eating Japanese food.. not too much sushi anymore but I love Japanese tapas. You should try it sometime if you haven’t already! I love Asian shopping centers as well because they usually have really cute and unique things although their clothing never really suits my style.

its still pretty sunny here but definitely getting cooler. i hate the cold though :-\
i had dim sum this weekend too! i got my egg custard but the food wasn’t as great as I had hoped.

Oh my God…I LOVE rain, particularly the sound of it when you’e indoors and listening to it. But i HATE it when autumn/winter comes around here in the U.K…it’s so cold, absolutely POURS it down every day! I usually end up freezing cold waiting for buses all the time..I’m learning to drive at the moment (my test is in 4 weeks and 2 days :|) and I’m HOPEFULLY going to be getting a car soon after! and and and…MOCHI IS ADORABLE. I want to steal her
And that cake is amazing, nobody ever makes such an effort over here lol! Is that Dora the Explorer I spy on it though?

Good luck on your road test!! Yeah, bussing in the rain sucks… I only love the rain now because I don’t have to bus anymore since I’m done school.
