I was browsing through 42photo.com because I was looking through my pictures and decided I might want to invest in a new camera soon. I currently own a white Sony Cybershot T20 but the quality wasn’t too great compared to my previous cameras and I’ve always wanted to go back to Canons. As a designer, I have to ask myself which one is more important; the picture quality or the sexiness of the hardware? I’m materialistic and a sucker for beautiful things but I feel sick when image quality doesn’t meet up to my standards. Photoshop can fix quality (although tedious) and skins can fix the sexy-factor but still. This is going to be hard.
Although Canon is a leader in the digital camera/point-and-shoot industry quality-wise, in my opinion, Sony designs have always grabbed me more. I’m thinking of upgrading to this sexy and sleek Sony digital camera, the Sony DSC-T200. The WHY? BECAUSE IT’S SEXY and it’s a touch screen! I know I’ve said touch screens were annoying in the past but that was a cellphone and you don’t have to dial numbers and text message on a camera. And besides, I can’t resist a camera that’s not the usual black or silver. Plus at $314.99 on 42photo? Somebody kill me now for hesitating.

But of course like always, low prices and good deals always put me in a state of dilemma. They also have a wide range of video cameras which I’ve been eyeing for a while too. Hours and hours of video of us running around like morons back in the day back was p-r-i-c-e-l-e-s-s so why aren’t I still documenting everything like I use to? I hate to say this, but I hate awesome deals because they make everything so much harder for us to choose from. I wish I can just buy everything. Le sigh.

One of my good friends has that camera. I was going to get exactly the one you posted. But another called out to me. A hot pink Sony DSC-T2. Also touch screen and the same price as that one
The thing that I love about mine, besides it being hot pink, is that the lens cover is flush against the camera. The one that you are looking at doesn’t

Damn, that camera is pretty sexy… so is the one you have. I just got a new camera few months ago, but it’s so HUGE! I want to eventually get an DSLR.

I’ve been searching for cameras lately myself. I want something a lot better than what I had before (Kodak Easyshare Cx7330). I’m leaning toward a Canon myself. I still have a lot of searching to do!

Perfect qualty-wise… I totally suggest you get a Canon too. I haven’t tested out the quality on the Sony DSC-T200 so hopefully that one isn’t too bad. I find that the Sony cameras that comes in the nicer colors usually have crappy quality.

Hahaha I love you too Jane! Yeah last night was sooo much fun! I wish I could’ve went to Natasha’s after though… I think we had one too many drinks on the boat… even though they didn’t have our 151s or Gray Goose. Oh well.
Rose’s bday was actually today but I hope you can join us for dinner or something next weekend… no more clubbing man!

i loveeee that camera. I have always liked Sony’s cameras over any other brand, mainly because of the styling. wow, i absolutely love it. I’ll have to put that on my birthday list!
