Storage Secret: Daiso!

Fashion, Hair & Make-Up, Food

How do you store your make up? I store mine in $2 plastic containers/drawers from Daiso. I went yesterday to buy a couple more, but to my disappointment, they were all sold out!

This is just the stuff I use frequently so it’s within easy reach. All the containers in this picture are from Daiso; the black basket, drawers, the pink box and even my cookie jar (of course, a piggy like me has to have a cookie jar currently filled with Girl Guide cookies)! Yes I know the white ones don’t match… I just bought the wrong ones. :S

A glimpse inside: paint pots, fluidliners, random eye shadows I haven’t depotted yet, smaller eye palettes, lip stuff, etc.

Half of my brushes.. the rest are in a make up case so I can take them out with me. Oopsies… some of my brushes needs to be washed.

The rest of my palettes, falsies, and other stuff are stored in my closet in a plastic 3-drawer storage on wheels; I won’t take a picture of the rest because they are just jumbled with extra bottles of deep hair conditioners, boxes of hair dye I buy but never use, tampons, etc. Hah. It’s nice to have hardwood floors because I just roll around in my chair and never have to actually stand up to get anything. God I’m lazy.

Anyway, Boyfriend and I stopped by Yaohan to grab some food and curry fish balls and I couldn’t leave there without my regular watermelon slush with no pearls.

Boyfriend got upset in attempt to steal mine because I never order pearls (which defeats the whole purpose of getting “bubble” tea). I can’t stand how lame these comics are but we get a good kick out from making fun of them.

But yeah… if you ever come to Richmond, go to Juice King in Yaohan; it has the BEST bubble tea, imo (well that is if you hate powdered bubble tea like I do).

Yeah that’s true… the only powder one I get is taro but I like Bubble Queen better now because it’s closer to home and doesn’t have a stupid crazy parking lot like Yaohan!! :@

That’s a really good way for storing makeup. If my makeup collection ever rivals yours I will definitely consider these organizers. For now, I use a Sephora storage box. It’s cute but nowhere as functional as these Daiso boxes. But then again, I don’t have nearly as much make-up as you! LOL! I’m quite boring when it comes to colors. I only wear brown eyeshadow and gold glitter on a daily basis and smokey eyes when the event requires it. LOL. I should really expand my colors.

And the BBT covers are just hilariously lame. It makes for a good time killer though! You make me wanna to get some bobba now. I’ll probably go tonight – though Toronto’s BBT shops don’t have such entertaining covers.

As for buying Laneige products, you’d probably have to go to Korean Town. They have it over here in Toronto’s K-Town so I’m pretty sure you can find it at Vancouver’s K-Town. :)

wow you’re so organized. I keep my makeup in similar plastic-y things I get from wal-mart. They’re great space savers.

You keep your make up so organized!

Because I don’t wear much make-up, I don’t have this pimped out collection. I use to collect make up though, and I would place them in those same kind of plastic bins, but it didn’t look nearly as neat as yours.

    What is bubble tea?!

I can see that I’m talking to another MAC addict, lol. I have a MAC drawer- the tp of my chest of drawers has little pockets and pidgeonholes that I can store everything from my fluidliners to my shadesticks. I’m so obsessed with keeping everything in neat and tidy order.

$2 storage containers? They’re waaay more expensive here!

    I love pearls… I can’t believe you don’t like them/didn’t order them. It’s a crime against humanity!

Holy shit, that’s a lot of makeup! I never use anything more than tinted moisturiser, mascara and some lip tint (some bronzer maybe), so I can get away with a little makeup case I got from Rimmel…like a smaller version of a hatbox!

Oh damn, wish we had Daiso in Australia! All the Asians would go insane. I just throw all my makeup stuff everywhere but I have nowhere near the impressive amount you have!

Why don’t you like pearls? Haha, I really like chewing on them and then when the drink is finished I feel like a loser sucking up all the pearls :P

Me on the other hand, I pull my Chapstick out of whatever pocket I stuck it in, balm it up and go. Yeah, you wont catch me taking photographs of that however exciting it may be!

*Melle posses for photos as she hurries to apply some lip balm* She’s a sexah bish.

aweee i miss yohan! so many fobs! hahaha

HAHAHA. I didn’t know people in other places use the word “FOB” because when I use it some times in my own home town, people don’t know what I’m talking about!

Anywho, I don’t like powdered bubble tea too! Yuck :/* My favorite one is purple yam YUMMmMMM. I never had watermelon before. But bubble drinks aren’t good for you. People keep telling me that they are jam packed with sugar. I’m not a big fan of the black pearls either. It’s like eating your drink. It’s weird. :X

I put my make-up in a make-up case from Sephora. I was thinking of doing those plastic cases but I use that for my jewelry/accessories and my room is jam packed as it already is. You have a butt load of brushes by the way! Jeebus.

I freaking love your storage system and all your makeup. I have my makeup in a drawer ’cause I don’t have a ton (although I’m working on it), but I do have my hair bands and jewelry in a case similar to yours, with little plastic drawers.
