Merry Christmas!

Shopping, Trips & Events

Merry Christmas everyone (from our hotel room in Cali)! Sorry if I didn’t reply to text messages but I don’t wanna get charged like crazy over here.

Yes, we had complimentary wireless access all this time but I was too lazy to blog.

Anyway, Boyfriend and I are having fun here in Cali. We just got back from dinner where he almost threw up when he asked for water because apparently [tap] water in Cali is disgusting. We turned on the TV this morning and saw Josh Groban performing at Disneyland and Boyfriend was like “hurry up we’re missing out!” and I’m like “okay, okay!” while slowly blending my eye shadow. Because of that, we didn’t go to Disneyland as we planned to today because tickets were sold out by the time we got there at 10. He didn’t wanna to to California Adventure either so we just hit up L.A. and Hollywood and then we went back to Huntington Beach. We winged all the locations without a map either! We just stayed on the I5 and took whichever exits sounded right and didn’t get lost! Okay, well we had a tiny bit of help from some person in a coffee shop on Hollywood Blvd. :P The Boyfriend actually wants to give up the snow and the mountains to move here so he can go surfing and look at girls on the beach all day (while I look at guys, of course). Lmao. But that’s too bad because when am I going to have a chance to wear my warm winter jackets?

Shopping so far? I only got a bunch of scarves and over-sized rings. My only big purchase was a pair of Dior shades because I left mine at home so I really had no choice. Hehehe. :lovestruck: I’ll do more shopping when we get back to Sacramento because we don’t really have time to shop right now and the only thing I really wanted to get were some books anyway.

This is a good vacation, eh?

Humor

Today, I think finally realized why Canadians say “eh.”

“Wow that bridge is long, eh?”
“Wow that bridge is long, huh?”

What are you suppose to say after a phrase to make it sound like a question? “Huh” just sounds dumb and uneducated. “Eh” is too but just not as bad. So now my question is, what do Americans say?

LOL.

But Canadians so say “eh” way too much.

How do you spell “Canada?”
“C-eh-N-eh-D-eh”

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Well that was my revelation for today.

P.S. Cali is fun. We’re in Sacramento right now. Went to the Bay Area earlier today to do some shopping. Heading down to L.A. tomorrow.

2007 in Review

Thoughts & Insights

In lieu of Friday’s Feast, I will write my review of 2007.

2007 has been the best (and luckiest) year of my life. I finished school with a scholarship and graduated top of my class. I was finally able to support myself 100%. For the first time in over a decade, I did not have any homework or school projects to stress over. I got myself an awesome job with one of the most recognized companies in the world. I love my job and the Boyfriend loves my job because we get cheap games. :D My jobs keeps me skinny because of the free gym. I lied. My job keeps me fat because of the gormet cafeteria and a double-dose of Nutri-V Lemon Green Tea daily (we are in the process of building a wall of it). I’m quickly paying off those student loans. I’m happily giving money back to my parents for all those years they’ve supported me. I renovated my room which is now dark and mysterious pretty (it was suppose to sound dramatic but it didn’t work). I had the right people in my life. I let go of people and unnecessary drama that came with many (actually I never had any drama in my life that was my own; only other people’s). I had my Boyfriend to support and be there for me 24/7. I had everything I wanted (to the point that I couldn’t even think of a real Christmas wishlist). My closet is overflowing with bank-breaking denim and tops yet my parents still won’t give me their closet (no, I don’t want to move out yet). I became more of a spoiled-brat than I already was. I ate good food. I read good books. I got a new Billy Bookcase and filled it up (who doesn’t have one of these?) I didn’t suffer any important losses. I was happy. I HAD FREEDOM (well I always did, but I guess this time it was financial freedom).

If I had one phrase to describe 2007:
I shopped the year away.

My credit card bills says it all.

I lurved it. Life is so goooooood.

Teaching Grandma English

Humor, Questions, Visual Media

Funniest video ever: Teaching Grandma English. It’s kinda mean but you have to admit it’s freaking hilarious and grandma seems to be getting a kick out of it (even though she didn’t really know what was going on). All that matters is that grandma is having fun. Lol. If you understand Cantonese, you’ll find it even more hilarious! :P Warning: this is NSFW unless you have headphones on.

This is still my favorite video though.

QOTD:

What do you work for: the love of success or the fear of failure?

Both. Success is better than sex (or is it?) but failure is my biggest fear.
