Who is the very first friend you ever had? Are you still in touch?

Leakkhna Ros aka “Lucky.” I gave her that nickname because I couldn’t pronounce her long ass Cambodian name and I was a fobby Chinese girl with an accent. Actually, I’m a CBC, but in Regina you can consider me a “FOB” since everyone there is Caucasian. We both had to go to “ESL” in grade 2 because we weren’t … BUT those were fun times in McVeety’s dinky library. LOL. Anyway, people still calls her that today! Aw.

I met her on the first day of school in first grade and asked her to “play with me on the playground.” We had soooo many fights since then till grade 3 when I moved, over stupid things like boys but always made up with a “I’m sorry for what I did to you” and how can I forget those hours and hours on the phone. I wonder what the heck we talked about when we were that young?!

Yes, we’re still in touch, (just a couple of MSN conversations here and there) although not as much as we were when we were younger.
