Graduation

Tonight summed up all our highschool memories.
The laughs, the tears, the achievments, the failures, the fun, the boredom, the drama, the fights, the anger, the classes, the teachers, the lunchtimes, the spareroom, the rotunda, the blue/yellow/green/purple wings, the locker-sharing, the cafeteria lines, the crappy food, the ups and the downs…
When we first entered highschool as eighth-graders, we were excited and jubilant about starting fresh at a new place. In grade nine, as some of the teachers call it, our “cocky” stage, we were finally not at the bottom of the school anymore and risen a level above the new eighth graders. In tenth-grade, school was becoming a boring routine and we cannot wait to get out because all we wanna do is have fun. In grade eleven, we realized that things are coming to an end and we’ll have to start taking our future seriously. Finally in grade 12, we make the best of the final leg of our journey as we get closer and closer to the finish line.
Five years of attending HJ Cambie Secondary, and it all came to an end just like that. Next September, we won’t be going back to the same building like we did for the past five years, depressed yet excited about school starting again and sharing our summer stories. Next September, we would’ve all began a new journey taking a new path in life.
Heads up though, guys.
I wish each and everyone of you the best of luck in the future.
Keep in touch and we’ll be together again in 10!
